The term Metaverse is emerging as a result of the late push by multinational technology conglomerates and a recent surge of interest in Web 3.0, Blockchain, NFT, and Cryptocurrencies. From a scientific point of view, there is no definite consensus on what the Metaverse will be like. This paper collects, analyzes, and synthesizes scientific definitions and the accompanying major characteristics of the Metaverse using the methodology of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Two revised definitions for the Metaverse are presented, both condensing the key attributes, where the first one is rather simplistic holistic describing โa three-dimensional online environment in which users represented by avatars interact with each other in virtual spaces decoupled from the real physical worldโ. In contrast, the second definition is specified in a more detailed manner in the paper and further discussed. These comprehensive definitions offer specialized and general scholars an application within and beyond the scientific context of the system science, information system science, computer science, and business informatics, by also introducing open research challenges. Furthermore, an outlook on the social, economic, and technical implications is given, and the preconditions that are necessary for a successful implementation are discussed.

In 2021, the concept of "meta-universe" has attracted a lot of attention worldwide. This paper discusses the significance of Blockchain-based Non-Fungible Token (NFT) for the development of China's metaverse industry. In addition, in the context of China's unique institutional environment, this chapter compares current Blockchain and NFT-related regulations and explains whether and how these regulations facilitate the development of China's digital economy. Finally, a case study will be conducted and a Citespace analysis will be performed to provide some recommendations. This chapter will highlight the importance of balancing governance and innovation to facilitate the application and value of emerging technologies in the development of China's metaverse ecosystem and Blockchain.

Blockchain, which is spotlighted as one of the core technologies in the Web 3.0 era, is being used as a tool for high security and decentralization. In addition, blockchain has been positioned as a core technology for services such as cryptocurrency, NFT, De-Fi, and metaverse, and has already provided high-quality services. In particular, cryptocurrency has shown rapid growth and has been receiving worldwide attention. Cryptocurrency is a web technology and has the property that it can be an investment target, and it is expected to develop further in the future. In this research, we analyzed factors influencing the intention to use cryptocurrency and structural causalities among the factors. We considered personal characteristics, characteristics of cryptocurrency itself, and social characteristic, and a research model has been established for an empirical study. In addition, a multi-group analysis was performed to identify differences between users and non-users. As a result of the analysis, it was found that some of the personal characteristics and cryptocurrency characteristics affect the intention to use. And in the case of non-users, it was found that not only personal and cryptocurrency characteristics, but also social characteristic influence their intention to use. The results of this research are expected to provide implications for cryptocurrency service providers and users, as well as institutions that establish related policies.

In this study, the future of the insurance industry and legal tasks related to digitalization and artificial intelligence were examined. What is artificial intelligence technology? Among them, we reviewed what the insurance industry can do and what it is doing, and looked at legal issues and what to change in the future. First of all, the development status of digitalization and artificial intelligence was investigated, and the impact on the insurance industry and the opportunities and risks brought by digitalization and artificial intelligence were examined. Second, if digitalization and the development of artificial intelligence replace existing human tasks, it should be considered whether to treat such artificial intelligence robots or tools as simple tools or give legal effects by giving similar status to humans. Third, the emergence of digitalization and artificial intelligence is expected to have an impact on various areas of insurance work, especially focusing on insurance recruitment work, and legal discussions related to it were attempted. The introduction of digitalization and artificial intelligence is expected to have an impact on the overall financial transaction or insurance transaction. The emergence of new technologies implies new opportunities and risks at the same time. It will also lead to changes in the existing socio-economic and cultural institutions. Legal significance in changes in the insurance environment is related to which process digitalization and artificial intelligence play a role in which of the conventional insurance tasks, and that is the problem caused. It is necessary to guarantee the right to access various channels centered on consumers by drastic deregulation to promote digitalization. Accordingly, insurance companies need to develop a model that allows consumers to actively select suitable, convenient means, and methods for themselves at each stage of insurance subscription. With the rise of the platform as a new business model, it will affect product counseling and recommendation, product description, subscription receipt, notification receipt, premium receipt, and insurance policy issuance, so in-depth discussions are needed on whether to accept the platform as a new recruitment channel or as a simple information provider or advisory business. In seeking legal changes through the introduction of digitalization and artificial intelligence, whether or not to grant a legal personality to tools or platforms equipped with artificial intelligence, which is the starting point of the most basic discussion, needs to be carefully introduced in consideration of future technological developments and social needs. As a legal discussion due to the advent of digitalization and artificial intelligence, the legal effects of AI intervention and operation were examined. At each transaction stage, various notifications and explanations that insurance recruiters must perform before signing insurance contracts, automation of subscription receipt and approval, and legal improvement should be promoted. Meanwhile, with the development of artificial intelligence technology, unmanned transportation such as robot dogs, robot disabled assistants, drones, trucks, aircraft, ships, etc., virtual assets, digital currency, metaverse, and NFT (non-fungible token) will be developed and utilized. It is necessary to solve the legal problems that these various artificial intelligence tools can create and guarantee measures through the development of new insurance products. Dr Stephen Hawking said, โThe advent of powerful artificial intelligence will be the best or the worst. What could happen to mankind. We donโt know which one.โ However, the reality is that artificial intelligence technology has been developed and used for each task. With history evolving in time, society is causing significant changes.

Abstract: Objective- To conceptualize a system using a fusion of Blockchain and IoT to keep track of deforestation and related activities and maintain a distributed public ledger of the same. Methods-IoT network detects deforestation or related activities using extrapolation of data generated, and thus updating the Blockchain with the same. It will create a public ledger with all the information related to the region wherein the system is deployed. Concerned authorities would be apprised, and commensurate action would be taken in case some illicit activity is detected by the central node of the IoT module. Novelty-Novelty lies within the program, which would use the data generated by the IoT module, use it to infer the activities, initiate response actions and update the data on the Blockchain.

BACKGROUND: Globally, the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) is an incomplete homework task. The society has transitioned into a non-face-to-face society due to COVID-19. Thus, research was conducted focusing on a new market in the cosmetic market using non-fungible token (NFT) in the metaverse era, a virtual world that is starting anew. PURPOSE: This study is an empirical analysis focused on introducing the new start of luxury cosmetics brands using the metaverse world to good consumption using NFT. METHOD: These data were reviewed to identify agreement between each section and unique guiding areas. The 39 papers were finally considered appropriate for evaluating the research objectives as follows in relation to the search criteria. This can be done through the PRISMA flow diagram to determine how many records were identified, included, and excluded. RESULT: Good consumption in the future beauty market is vital, following COVID-19. Therefore, this narrative review article concluded that, only good, irreplaceable brands that utilize NFT fitting the luxury brand strategy and consuming good money will survive when the metaverse cosmetic era opened. CONCLUSION: By identifying new changes in the global metaverse world and cosmetics market using NFT, this study can be used as an important marketing material in the metaverse cosmetics market.

The metaverse is understood to be an immersive virtual world serving as the locus for all forms of work, education, and entertainment experiences. Depicted in books, movies, and games, the metaverse has the potential not just to supplement real-world experiences but to substantially supplant them. This article explores the rapid emergence and evolution of the Web3 technologies at the heart of the metaverse movement. Web3 itself is a paradigmatic shift in internet commerce. The article begins by exploring the competing economic and philosophical approaches to the future of the internet, which is being driven on one hand by the most successful internet advertising firms (Facebook and Google) as well as their videogame competitors (Roblox, Microsoftโs Minecraft, Epic Games, and Valve) and on the other hand by Web3 advocates focusing on cryptocurrencies, nonfungible tokens, decentralized finance (โDeFiโ) and distributed autonomous organizations (DAOs). Limiting the focus on U.S. law, the article reviews three core areas for the development of the metaverse: the regulatory environment; the transactional essentials; and the limits on governmental intrusion into the metaverse. The review of the regulatory environment includes state and federal gambling laws, money transfer laws, securities laws, and regulation of unfair and deceptive trade practices used to enforce privacy and cybersecurity obligations. The section on transactional essentials focuses on contracts between metaverse enterprises and their customers, antitrust and competition restraints, copyright protections, protections of biometric data and rights of publicity, and protections of customer speech in metaverse environments. Finally, the article addresses the need for the continuing evolution of the Fourth Amendment protection from search and seizures, the third party doctrine limitations on reasonable expectations of privacy, and the statutory protections under the Stored Communications Act. The article highlights that although these doctrinal issues are not new, the scope of the metaverse and its potential social importance will reshape these doctrine in sometimes unpredictable ways. Technologists, practitioners, and regulators must be open to these shifts to appropriately develop the correct mix of user control, industry practice, and regulatory oversight.

We are living in a digital age, and the Pandemic has accelerated innovation in health care and has surfaced new business models and opportunities for health. Beyond the applications in telehealth, supply chain, payments, secure data sharing, and remote monitoring are also essential innovations in Blockchain and Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) that allow people to exchange value on a decentralized network. Futurists and technologists are also exploring how the Metaverse can play a role in different sectors. This Commentary aims to explore how the Metaverse may be used in the future to change, enhance, and possibly transform health care. In addition, this study attempted to examine whether the influence of blockchain characteristics on consumer acceptance varies by the type of service such as finance or games. Based on technology acceptance model, This study used structural equation modeling to analyze the relationship between the characteristics of the blockchain (decentralization, security, anonymity), perceived usefulness, ease of use, acceptance intention, and the moderating effect of service types. The results showed that decentralization and anonymity had a positive effect on perceived usefulness and ease of use, and perceived usefulness and ease of use had a positive effect on acceptance intention. In addition, security has a greater impact on financial services than game services, and anonymity has a greater impact on game services than financial services. These results provide implications that many companies can increase the likelihood of success by taking them as a major consideration when commercializing blockchains and developing services.
