Web 3.0, the web of social and semantic cooperation, calls for a methodological multidisciplinary architecture in order to reach its mainstream objectives. With the lack of such an architecture and the reliance of existing efforts on lightweight semantics and RDF graphs, this thesis proposes "Web3.OWL", an ontology-driven framework towards a Web 3.0 knowledge architecture. \nMeanwhile, the online social parenting data and their corresponding websites users known as "mommy bloggers" undergo one of the fastest online demographics growth, \nand the available literature reflects the very little attention this growth has so far been given and the various deficiencies the parenting domain suffers from; these deficiencies all fall under the umbrella of the scarcity of parenting sociomedical analysis and decision-support systems. \nThe Web3.OWL framework puts forward an approach that relies on the Meta-Object Facility for Semantics standard (SMOF) for the management of its modeled OWL (Web Ontology Language) expressive domain ontologies on the one hand, and the coordination of its various underlined Web 3.0 prerequisite disciplines on the other. \nSetting off with a holistic portrayal of Web3.OWL’s components and workflow, the thesis progresses into a more analytic exploration of its main paradigms. Out of its \ndifferent ontology-aware paradigms are notably highlighted both its methodology for expressiveness handling through modularization and projection techniques and algorithms, \nand its facilities for tagging inference, suggestion and processing. \n \nWeb3.OWL, albeit generic by conception, proves its efficiency in solving the deficiencies and meeting the requirements of the sociomedical domain of interest. Its conceived ontology for parenting analysis and surveillance, baptised "ParOnt", strongly contributes to the backbone metamodel and the various constituents of this ontology-driven framework. \nAccordingly, as the workflow revolves around Description Logics principles, OWL 2 profiles along with standard and beyond-standard reasoning techniques, conducted experiments and competency questions are illustrated, thus establishing the required Web 3.0 outcomes. The empirical results of the diverse preliminary decision-support and recommendation services targeting parenting public awareness, orientation and education do ascertain, in conclusion, the value and potentials of the proposed conceptual framework.
In this short paper, we present a Fiat-Shamir type transform that takes any Sigma protocol for a relation R and outputs a non-interactive zero-knowledge proof (not of knowledge) for the associated language L R , in the common reference string model. As in the Fiat-Shamir transform, we use a hash function H. However, zero-knowledge is achieved under standard assumptions in the common reference string model (without any random oracle), and soundness is achieved in the non-programmable random oracle model. The concrete computational complexity of the transform is only slightly higher than the original Fiat-Shamir transform.

Semantic web offers a smarter web service which synchronizes and arranges all the data over the web in a disciplined pattern. In data mining over the web, accuracy of selecting necessary data as user demand and pick them for output counts as a major key challenge from long ago. Our approach contributes a complete and automatic mapping of data over web3. 0 through ontology and accesses them by intelligent web agent. The agent offers all possible output related to user request, from which user could find desired information. When a user has insufficient data parameters to search, they can gain knowledge from the relational outputs provided by the agent and thus semantic web mining enables unknown knowledge acquisition or discovery. Here, in this paper we briefly illustrate and discuss the architecture of semantic web, then propose a model for web mining to discover knowledge under a framework of agent, and finally discusses the ways, how agent finds out user query related nodes from ontology.

The future of computing systems is leading to a growing complexity of heterogeneous computing systems integration situated in highly dynamic and uncertain environment. Self-organization has been proposed to be one of the solutions due to its autonomous capability to govern itself and to adapt upon changes. Developing self-organizing systems requires a suitable modeling method because of its unique characteristics, such as self-adaptive, decentralized, and emergent. Existing multiagent systems engineering methodologies lack modeling methods to design behavior adaptation for self-organizing systems. This paper proposes a role modeling method that allows designers to model how agents perform behavior adaptation at runtime by making transitions from one set of roles to another in decentralized manner. The behavior adaptation of each individual agent may eventually emerge as the adaptation of the organization. The proposed modeling method also helps designers to analyze issues that may occur because of playing multiple roles, such as role conflict, role overload, role transition oscillation, and other common issues in concurrency.
Electronic contracts are crucial for future e-Business models due to the increasing importance of Web services and the cloud as a reliable commodity enabling service-based value chains. Negotiation is the prerequisite for establishing a contract between two or more partners. These contracts are usually based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs). In this paper we present the framework of a smart Web service marketplace, which allows for automatic, autonomous, and adaptive negotiation and re-negotiation of Web services based on economic principles. Our approach enables market based service trading following a bazaar style and extends the classical supermarket approach typical for service negotiation today. We extend the WS-Agreement standard by feasible workflows to support auctioning for negotiation and re-negotiation. A specific highlight of our framework is the mapping of business strategies defined by economic goals of the respective organization into an ICT enabled framework. It facilitates autonomic agents acting as organizational representatives stipulating SLAs without human interaction. This allows for business transactions transparently to the environment but adhering to business objectives of the originating organization.

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is changing the way in which software applications are designed, deployed and maintained. A service-oriented application consists of the runtime composition of autonomous services that are typically owned and controlled by different organizations. This decentralization impacts on the dependability of applications that consist of dynamic services agglomerates, and challenges their validation. Different techniques can be used or combined for the verification of dependability aspects, spanning over traditional off-line testing approaches, monitoring, and on-line testing. In this chapter we discuss issues and opportunities of SOA validation, we identify three different stages for validation along the service life-cycle model, and we overview some proposed research approaches and tools. The emphasis is on on-line testing, which to us is the most peculiar stage in the SOA validation process. Finally, we claim that on-line testing is only possible within an agreed governance framework.
We present an intelligence-based mobile solution addressing product life cycle and overall network management functions. Traditional network and service management systems rely on basic inventory information periodically collected from the network in order to establish the basic “Install Base” network view. Such collection systems, however, still require manual human manipulations given the required device's electronically embedded predefined parameters are often inaccurate or absent. Leveraging mobile agents and ubiquitous computing in networks, we developed the Mobile Smart Services (MoSS), a location-aware solution as well as a novel interactive interface to improve the collected parameters and Return Material Authorization (RMA) user experience. The fluid interaction, mobility, and efficiency of the system allow network service providers and customers to solve network management problems. The applications developed also enable ubiquitous inventory management, intelligent contract management and effective system diagnosis to improve productivity in complicated network systems.

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) represents a new model in the traditional way of designing systems, this is due to frequent change of requirements and high integration of the applications of organizations around the world. Although the use of SOA has increased, certain features of applications do not allow its use. This is the case of mission critical applications, whose characteristics are high availability, continuous operation, high flexibility, high performance, etc. On the other hand, these features have been covered in Autonomous Decentralized Systems (ADS). This article presents a SOA-ADS modeling novel approach called Autonomous Decentralized Service Oriented Architecture (ADSOA). Additionally it is presented the Loosely Coupling Synchronization and Transactional Delivery Technology that provides consistency and high availability. To show the viability of the proposal a prototype is presented.
In WS-BPEL process, Extensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) is used as an authenticated tool to provide several services for an employee in an organization. There are several policies (XACML) used as an access control in Web Services. XACML policy as RBAC profile to support role based access controls policies. In an organization, there are several roles assigned to an employee based on their attributes. The attributes are used as an authenticating tool to assign the role and perform the task. The identity attributes are used for role provisioning policies to a particular employee i.e. social security number, date of birth, etc. are assigned as an identity attributes. In this aggregate zero knowledge proof knowledge (AgZKPK) and Oblivious commitment based envelope (OCBE) protocols are used during service (information) sharing between employees and to make it more flexible. This process may provide privacy to the user information and support multi-domain environment.
The term Autonomic Communication (AC) refers to self-managing systems which are capable of supporting self-configuration, self-healing and self-optimization. However, information reflection and collection, lack of centralized control, non-cooperation and so on are just some of the challenges within AC systems. Since many self-* properties (e.g. selfconfiguration, self-optimization, self-healing, and self-protecting) are achieved by a group of autonomous entities that coordinate in a peer-to-peer (P2P) fashion, it has opened the door to migrating research techniques from P2P systems. P2P’s meaning can be better understood with a set of key characteristics similar to AC: Decentralized organization, Self-organizing nature (i.e. adaptability), Resource sharing and aggregation, and Fault-tolerance. However, not all P2P systems are compatible with AC. Unstructured systems are designed more specifically than structured systems for the heterogeneous Internet environment, where the nodes’ persistence and availability are not guaranteed. Motivated by the challenges in AC and based on comprehensive analysis of popular P2P applications, three correlative standards for evaluating the compatibility of a P2P system with AC are presented in this chapter. According to these standards, a novel Efficient, Scalable and Robust (ESR) P2P overlay is proposed. Differing from current structured and unstructured, or meshed and tree-like P2P overlay, the ESR is a whole new three dimensional structure to improve the efficiency of routing, while information exchanges take in immediate neighbors with local information to make the system scalable and fault-tolerant. Furthermore, rather than a complex game theory or incentive mechanism, asimple but effective punish mechanism has been presented based on a new ID structure which can guarantee the continuity of each node’s record in order to discourage negative behavior on an autonomous environment as AC.
Interoperability between autonomous systems like robot swarm or mobile software agents rely on efficient and seamless communication. Such mobile and dynamic environments pertain self-organization and self configuration of computing entities, a need for autonomic publishing and discovery of resources, and communication from and to outside world. Furthermore, such systems are attributed by heterogeneous communication capabilities of various computing entities. We take Web services approach for robot swarm based on robotic communication capabilities and propose a collaborative and decentralized services discovery and management middleware. Our approach provides a loose coupling in terms of space and time and uses both Internet based communication and RFID tags as message post boxes/relays for communication between robots when communication over the Internet is not available.
SSO (single sign on) provides e-commerce users with easy access to applications and network resources, using a single, secure login identity. Web services (WS) based on SSO provide the potential to achieve interoperability of distributed electronic commerce (e-commerce) application integration among autonomous organizations, regardless of platforms, operating systems or languages. The most important challenge about the WS based on security SSO is the cost of implementation. After reviewing the paradigm of developing WS security standards and challenges, this paper presented a security model of JSON (JavaScript object notation) based on SSO architecture for e-commerce enterprise. The decentralized SSO security architecture is presented which is easy to integrate legacy system and new developed system.
One of the main goals of the Semantic Web initiative [3] is to extend the current Web technology to allow for the development of intelligent agents, which can automatically and unambiguously process the information available on millions of web pages. It has been recognized very early in the development of the Semantic Web that rules are essential for the Web3 and for Semantic Web applications—e.g., description of semantic web services, rules interchange for e-business applications. The RuleML initiative is a response to the need of a shared rule markup language using XML markup, which has a precisely defined semantics and efficient implementations. In recent years, a significant amount of work has been devoted to develop knowledge representation languages suitable for the task and a variety of languages for rule markup has been proposed. The initial design [4] included a distinction (in terms of distinct DTDs) between reaction rules and derivation rules. The first type of rules is used for the encoding of event-condition-action (ECA) rules while the second is meant for the encoding of implicational/inference rules. Despite the fact that many different proposals for ECA rules encoding have appeared the work on ECA rules is still very vague. The most recent modularized description of RuleML [6] reports this area (indicated as PR RuleML in that document) as work in progress. The derivation rules component of the RuleML initiative has originated a family of languages.4, Datalog plays the role of a core language, with simplified versions (unary and binary Datalog) developed for combining RuleML with OWL (as in SWRL). Various sublanguages have been created to include features like explicit equality (e.g., fologeq), negation as failure (e.g., naffolog), and Hilog layers (e.g., hohornlog). Various authors [7] have argued that any realistic architecture for the Semantic Web must be based on various independent but interoperable languages, including logic programming languages with and without negation-as-failure. Risk is present in almost every activity. Alternately speaking, almost every activity may have some undesired outcomes which the person doing the activity hopes that they do not occur when it undertakes that particular activity. The quantification of those undesired outcomes can be termed as Risk. Risk is associated with Trust, Security and Privacy. Risk is also associated with transactions, businesses, information systems, environments, networks, partnerships, etc. Generally speaking, Risk signifies the likelihood of financial loss, human casualties, business destruction and environmental damages. It is important to define Risk according to the context of the transaction in order to understand and analyse it better. In the literature Risk has been defined and discussed in areas such as security, health, finance, environment and social life, but there is no systematic study of Risk in decentralized communications, which involves e-business, computer networks and service oriented environments. Hence in this paper, a particular attention is given to define and analyse Risk in the area of Peer-to-Peer business communications, where Risk is every individual and organization?s concern. Also in this paper we develop a risk indicator scale and develop a methodology by which the Riskiness of the peer can be rated according to its behaviour in an interaction. Risk indicator gives an early warning to the party involved and helps avoid disasters.

Grid computing is an open, heterogeneous and highly dynamic environment based on the principles of service oriented computing. It focuses on basic infrastructure for coordinated resource sharing among virtual organizations to achieve high performance and availability. However, use of existing Grid computing environment is quite complex and requires a lot of human intervention. In order to avoid this intervention, enhancements are required in bringing autonomy and semantics in existing Grid infrastructure. Semantics would act as glue for autonomy in the process of efficient resource discovery and utilization. Several ontologies and ontology languages have been proposed in this regard which not only have some shortcoming but also poses a sort of overhead for the Grid environment. On the other hand, agents are autonomous problem solving entities, and can negotiate semantically for interoperation with each other in dynamic environments. Inspired from the concept of Autonomous Decentralized Systems, we propose that the above mentioned goals can be achieved by integrating FIPA Multi Agent Systems with the Grid Service Architecture and hence to lay the foundation for Autonomous Semantic Grid. Autonomous Semantic Grid system architecture is aimed to provide an improved infrastructure by bringing autonomy, semantic interoperability and decentralization in the Grid computing for emerging applications. This paper then presents implementation details of first milestone toward Autonomous Semantic Grid realization based on a middleware, namely AgentWeb Gateway for integration of Multi Agent Systems and Grid Service Architecture. Evaluation of the system has also been performed over a number of application scenarios.

Healthcare is usually delivered within certain organizational boundaries and information produced at each site is managed by isolated autonomous clinical information systems. In some cases point-to-point communication is enabled, facilitating the exchange of information. In contrast, integrated regional health telematics; networks enable accessibility to information and services without visible organizational boundaries, to provide decentralized healthcare through integrated services for seamless and personalized information delivery. This has the advantage that enables informed citizens to have an impact on the healthcare system and to be more concerned and care for their own health. The current vision comprises affordable access to healthcare resources and services for all citizens, thus making medical expertise a shared resource wherever and whenever needed. Important areas in which information society technologies are likely to have a significant impact include those of pre-hospital health emergencies, remote monitoring of patients with chronic conditions, and medical collaboration through sharing of health-related information resources. Accessibility to these and other media-rich, user-oriented. services, in the context of the emerging global information society, will be supported by a healthcare information infrastructure, which can achieve effective horizontal integration of networked information sources.

Based on intelligent autonomous decentralized systems(IADS) and SoftMan,an organization structural model of softMan community is designed.SM.man management function,management and control strategy and coordination running mechanism are expounded.Characteristics of coordination control and forms of SoftMan Crowd are analyzed and partial-global planning(PGP) coordination control strategy is put forward.PGP may avoid task redundancy between nodes through intercommunion.Each node maintains its PGP and coordinates their behavior by PGP independently and asynchronously so as to accomplish the global task.
Asynchronous collaborative applications and systems have to deal with complexities associated with interaction nature, idiosyncrasy of groups and technical and administrative issues. Inclusion of requirements derived from them is costly (in time, resources and economically). Existing solutions addresses asynchronous collaboration via simplification of requirements and by using centralized models. In this paper we present LaCOLLA, a fully decentralized infrastructure for building collaborative applications that provides general purpose collaborative functionalities. The provision of those functionalities will avoid applications deal with most of complexities derived from groups and its members, what will help inclusion of collaborative aspects. The implementation of LaCOLLA follows the peer-to-peer paradigm and pays special attention to autonomy of its members and to self-organization of the components of the infrastructure. Another key aspect is that resources (e.g. storage) and services (e.g. authorization) are provided by its members (avoiding dependency from agents not belonging to group).
Web services can be seen as a newly emerging research area for Service-oriented Computing and their implementation in Service-oriented Architectures. Web services are self-contained, self-describing modular applications or components providing services. Web services may be dynamically aggregated, composed, and enacted as Web services Workflows. This requires frameworks and interaction protocols for their co-ordination and transaction support. In a Service-oriented Computing setting, transactions are more complex, involve multiple parties (roles), span many organizations, and may be long-running, consisting of a highly decentralized service partner and performed by autonomous entities. A Service-oriented Transaction Model has to provide comprehensive support for long-running propositions including negotiations, conversations, commitments, contracts, tracking, payments, and exception handling. Current transaction models and mechanisms including their protocols and primitives do not sufficiently cater for quality-aware and long running transactions comprising loosely-coupled (federated) service partners and resources. Web services transactions require co-ordination behavior provided by a traditional transaction mechanism to control the operations and outcome of an application. Furthermore, Web services transactions require the capability to handle the co-ordination of processing outcomes or results from multiple services in a more flexible manner. This requires more relaxed forms of transactions—those that do not strictly have to abide by the ACID properties—such as loosely-coupled collaboration and workflows. Furthermore, there is a need to group Web services into applications that require some form of correlation, but do not necessarily require transactional behavior. The purpose of this paper is to provide a state-of-the-art review and overview of some proposed standards surrounding Web services composition, co-ordination, and transaction. In particular the Business Process Execution Language for Web services (BPEL4WS), its co-ordination, and transaction frameworks (WS-Co-ordination and WS-Transaction) are discussed.
