The Design Approach of Ethereum-based Student Achievement Record System on Private Blockchain Network

Yan Watequlis Syaifudin

Blockchain transformative technology that enables secure, decentralized, and immutable transaction recording through a network of cryptographic blocks, enhancing transparency and trust without the need for a central authority or intermediaries. The Ethereum platform builds upon this foundation by facilitating the development of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts, which automate processes and improve operational efficiency. In higher education, the Student Activity Credit Unit (SACU) system exemplifies the application of blockchain by managing both academic and non-academic achievements, thus promoting a holistic approach to student development and enhancing essential soft skills like leadership and teamwork. By leveraging a decentralized system built on Hyperledger Besu, the SACU ensures that student records are secure, transparent, and scalable, while providing real-time monitoring and verification of achievements. This paper evaluates the decentralized student’s achevements record model, demonstrating its improvements in transparency, security, and efficiency over existing systems, ultimately preparing graduates for professional success and fostering trust in the recognition of their qualifications.

Researching Zero-Knowledge Proof in Blockchain Ecosystems for Enhanced Voting Transparency in Catalyst Voting Process—A Potential Application

Edet Ekpenyong, Ubio Obu, Godspower Emmanuel Achi, Clement Umoh · 6 authors

In blockchain ecosystems, maintaining transparency and privacy has become an ethical dilemma. This is because, while certain specific information of the user is shared to ensure transparency of transactions across networks, such information could be detrimental to the user, as there is a possibility of it being tampered with. For instance, in the Catalyst voting process in Cardano, users can still see the amount of ADA tokens being held by other users, which can influence their voting options, especially when large ADA holders vote in support of certain ideas or proposals. To discourage such challenges as voter manipulation and vote buying, this study proposed the implementation of zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) in blockchain ecosystems to enhance the transparency of the catalyst voting process and enhance efficiency and speed of result release. Using survey questionnaire and a multivocal literature review, this study was able to proof that ZKP cannot only be applied in the catalyst voting process to enhance its transparency, but also addressed potential challenges to its applications such as scalability, encourage trust and fairness of the voting system, and improve voter participation due to its user-friendliness. Mathematical models emphasize scaled voting as optimal for balancing inclusion and plutocratic control.

Blockchain TECHNOLOGY in the Fight Against Counterfeiting: A New Era OF Authentication

S. S. (S) Rajest, R. (R) Regin

The role of counterfeit goods in the industrial industries has grown in recent years. Name recognition, sales, and bottom line results are all impacted. Authentic products can be located and counterfeit goods can be identified with the use of blockchain technology. Distributed ledger technology, also known as blockchain, is a digital system that records transactions in a decentralised database using a system of interconnected blocks. Since blockchain technology is impenetrable, no one block can be altered or compromised. Customers and users can verify the safety of a product without depending on other users thanks to blockchain technology. As mobile and wireless technologies continue to evolve, this investigation finds that rapid response (QR) codes offer a strong tool in the fight against product counterfeiting. Using a QR code scanner that is connected to a blockchain can help identify counterfeit products. One possible usage of this system is to create unique codes for products and store them in the database as blocks. It takes the user's one-of-a-kind code and checks it against records in the blockchain ledger. A notification will be sent to the consumer if the code matches. In any other case, the buyer will be alerted that the goods is counterfeit.

Predict the Trend of Indonesian People's Interest in Bitcoin Facing the 2024 Bitcoin Halving Using a Forecasting Algorithm

Mohammad Nastain, Akhlis Munazilin, Adi Susanto

Cryptocurrency Bitcoin is one of the largest investment crypto assets throughout the world with a total market capitalization of 1.35 trillion US Dollars. Bitcoin was created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009 with a decentralized blockchain system. Indonesia is still ranked 7th in the world in cryptocurrency adoption, which means Indonesia is still behind other countries. The inhibiting factors are poor government regulations and a lack of public education platforms regarding this new cryptocurrency technology. This research aims to analyze and predict trends in Indonesian people's interest in bitcoin in the context of the 2024 bitcoin halving, taking Google Trends data and then predicting it using a double exponential forecasting algorithm. Related data was collected to analyze community interest patterns using the KDD (Knowledge Discovery in Database) method. Searches with the keyword "bitcoin" reached the day of the 2024 bitcoin halving on April 19, 2024. From the dataset obtained from the 2014-2024 period with a total of 121 records, using the double exponential 29 forecasting algorithm produces test and train RMSE values of 7,184 and 14,907. Meanwhile, the train and test MAPE values are 0.313 and 0.861. The model that has been created is then implemented using the Python Stremlit library so that web-based analysis can be carried out. The predicted peak point value in 09-2024 is 48.5 and the lowest point in 08-2025 is 17.9. It is hoped that this trend analysis can help develop the adoption of crypto assets, especially bitcoin, to educate the public about the importance of bitcoin as a future investment asset, and the government needs to play a role in making crypto adoption easier in Indonesia.

DESIGN OF A WORDPRESS BASED E-COMMERCE WEBSITE AND INTEGRATION OF CRYPTOCURRENCY PAYMENT GATEWAY

Restu Anggoro, Erliyan Redy Susanto

The Internet has become one of the main media, especially e-commerce transactions, which are increasingly popular and play an important role in the growth of online businesses. The RestLyfe store uses the Itemku platform, which uses a Business to Customer (B2C) and Customer to Customer (C2C) model, to sell digital products such as digital vouchers and game keys. However, some of the issues faced when using the platform include high costs, limited market reach, and payment methods that can only be used by certain customers. Building an e-commerce website and adding a cryptocurrency payment gateway will hopefully solve these problems. To achieve this goal, an e-commerce website based on the WordPress content management system (CMS) with the WooCommerce plugin will be built. This plugin will incorporate a cryptocurrency payment gateway and facilitate transaction design. To collect related data, observation and literature review were conducted. The waterfall model System Life Cycle Development (SDLC) method will be used to build the e-commerce website. The results and conclusions of this study show that the website built can solve the problem with implementation results that meet the needs of the initial analysis, and the results of black box testing conducted on the website show good results. In addition, this study demonstrates the use of modern sales strategies for cryptocurrencies and the optimization of the latest technologies. Thus, the e-commerce site offers more opportunities to reach the target market and meet the needs of an increasingly digitized market.

Crypto-sentiment Detection in Malay Text Using Language Models with an Attention Mechanism

Nur Azmina Mohamad Zamani, Norhaslinda Kamaruddin

Background: Due to the increased interest in cryptocurrencies, opinions on cryptocurrency-related topics are shared on news and social media. The enormous amount of sentiment data that is frequently released makes data processing and analytics on such important issues more challenging. In addition, the present sentiment models in the cryptocurrency domain are primarily focused on English with minimal work on Malay language, further complicating problems. Objective: The performance of the sentiment regression model to forecast sentiment scores for Malay news and tweets is examined in this study. Methods: Malay news headlines and tweets on Bitcoin and Ethereum are used as the input. A hybrid Generalized Autoregressive Pretraining for Language Understanding (XLNet) language model in combination with Bidirectional-Gated Recurrent Unit (Bi-GRU) deep learning model is applied in the proposed sentiment regression implementation. The effectiveness of the proposed sentiment regression model is also investigated using the multi-head self-attention mechanism. Then, a comparison analysis using Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) is carried out. Results: The experimental results demonstrate that the number of attention heads is vital in improving the XLNet-GRU sentiment model performance. There are slight improvements of 0.03 in the adjusted R2 values with an average MAE of 0.163 (Malay news) and 0.174 (Malay tweets). In addition, an average RMSE of 0.267 and 0.255 were obtained respectively for Malay news and tweets, which show that the proposed XLNet-GRU sentiment model outperforms the BERT sentiment model with lesser prediction errors. Conclusion: The proposed model contributes to predicting sentiment on cryptocurrency. Moreover, this study also introduced two carefully curated Malay corpora, CryptoSentiNews-Malay and CryptoSentiTweets-Malay, which are extracted from news and tweets, respectively. Further works to enhance Malay news and tweets corpora on cryptocurrency-related issues will be expended with implementing the proposed XLNet Bi-GRU deep learning model for greater financial insight. A Review of a Blockchain E-Voting System for Secure Voting

Md. Muneeruddin, U. Prashant, T. Bhanu Prakash

Blockchain technologies deliver an endless variety of applications that benefit from distributed economies. The proposed model is an Android application that has enhanced security features, which include both authentication and authorization. Authentication is incorporated by using a unique identification and authorization is done by using a fingerprint. Voters are also being verified by time password. The security in this project is implemented by using a 128-bit AES encryption algorithm and SHA-256 along with the blockchain. The vote is cast in the form of a transaction, where a blockchain is created, which keeps track of the tallies of votes. Through this, atomicity and integrity are maintained This blockchain-based voting system that satisfies the legal requirements of legislators has been a challenge for a long time. Distributed ledger technologies are an exciting technological advancement in the information technology world Blockchain technologies offer an infinite range of applications, benefiting from sharing economies. This project aims to evaluate the application of blockchain as a service to implement distributed electronic voting systems. The project elicits the requirements for building electronic voting systems and identifies the legal and technological limitations of using blockchain as a service for realizing such systems.

PENDEKATAN DEEP LEARNING MENGGUNAKAN METODE LSTM UNTUK PREDIKSI HARGA BITCOIN

Hastari Utama

Bitcoin price prediction involves analyzing a variety of factors, including market sentiment, trading volume, economic news, technological developments, and other factors that affect supply and demand. Both technical and fundamental analysis methods can be used to try to predict Bitcoin price movements. In this Bitcoin price prediction using a Deep Learning approach with the chosen method is LSTM. The LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) method is a popular type of Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) model for predicting the price of Bitcoin and other financial assets. LSTM can solve the problem of price movements that have long-term dependencies, which traditional RNN models cannot handle well. LSTMs have the ability to "remember" information from longer periods of time, thereby recognizing complex patterns and trends in historical data. In this study the prediction period used a dataset from March 1 2016 to November 24 2018. This study used an epoch parameter of 10 with a learning rate of 0.001. In addition, the batch size parameter used is 25 with layers only. The evaluation results of this study resulted in an RMSE of 77.74 and an MAE of 278.33. This shows that the RMSE value is small because the Bitcoin price range is too far.

Secure and Transparent Elections: Exploring Decentralized Electronic Voting on P2P Blockchain

Mochamad Heru Riza Chakim, Aliyah, M. Adhit Dwi Yuda, Rifqi Fahrudin · 5 authors

Voting is one of the methods used by humans to determine decisions in a case. Along with the development of technology, conventional voting also follows the transformation in the adaptation of the current digital era. There is an electronic version of this voting which is often called e-voting (electronic voting). Of course, the application of technology in voting will raise public opinion about concerns about maintaining network privacy and security in e-voting. Of course, security problems can be overcome with technology that is currently being utilized optimally in various fields of life, namely blockchain technology. In enhancing e-voting security, blockchain will be used in P2P networks. The application of the blockchain system in e-voting will produce a safe e-voting system so that it can reduce the percentage of forgery of votes in the e-voting system. Implementing a blockchain-based e-voting system will involve 3 elements, namely cryptography, software engineering theory, and voting theory. In realizing blockchain-based e-voting, several stages are needed. (1) vote counterfeiting is avoided by adjusting the voting recording model based on ledger technology, (2) in terms of authentication, this technology is equipped with elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) based user model design, (3) providing a model designed for voters to change their vote before the specified time limit. The integration of these three designs is an important requirement in the e-voting process, proving and verifying a blockchain-based e-voting system in a P2P network that has been designed on linux.

A CALL FOR REGULATION OF ESTATE ADMINISTRATION OF CRYPTOCURRENCY IN MALAYSIA

Nur Syaedah Kamis, Norazlina Abd Wahab, Mohammad Azam Hussain

The positive acceptance of cryptocurrency by the public indicates their interest and enthusiasm for cryptocurrency. Nevertheless, theregulatory overlay related to cryptocurrency is still at its infancy level, posing challenges to its estate administration upon the death ofthe owner of a cryptocurrency, which will lead to its disappearance and loss as it becomes impossible to be inherited. Hence, in light ofthis undesirable possibility, this paper aims to analyze the legal and Shariah issues on the estate administration of cryptocurrency from the perspectives of Malaysian laws and Shariah. This paper examined doctrinal research by examining relevant legal provisions, Shariah rulings, fatwa, cases, and non-legal literature on estate administration. This paper concludes that there is a lacuna in the estate administration of cryptocurrency as its regulatory framework is still new and evolving. Therefore, the legal and Shariah issues highlighted in this paper may provide some important policy implications for regulators and policymakers to fulfil the lacuna in the estate administration of cryptocurrency in Malaysia.
