In this study, we examined the use of non-fungible tokens in the field of events.Using a qualitative research approach based on interviews with event organisers and participants who have already used non-fungible tokens at events, we explored the added value that non-fungible tokens have brought to events.We found that the use of NFTs is still in its infancy, but their adoption is rapidly spreading.NFTs are being used at events in the form of tickets, collectible items and certificates of attendance.NFT tickets add value to both organisers and attendees by ensuring the authenticity of the ticket, enabling a transparent secondary market, and allowing the easy definition of additional benefits such as discounts or access to VIP areas.Yet, several challenges must be tackled before NFTs can be broadly integrated into the tourism sector.iv

The length and quality characteristics of public highways in Ukraine compared to the leading countries of the world were analyzed. Positive trends in the road construction and repair market related to the reform of the road industry were identified: decentralization of roads, financing of road repairs through the implemented State Road Fund of Ukraine, formation of a competitive environment, increase in the number of players in the road construction and repair market, strengthening of state control in the field procurement and road construction. Attention is drawn to the negative factors that affect the market situation, the formation of competitive advantages of enterprises, taking into account the specifics of the road industry. A set of measures to strengthen the competitiveness of enterprises is proposed, taking into account the results of the implemented reforms. It is considered expedient to intensify the development of public-private partnership, in particular, through the concession mechanism. To improve the quality management of road works, road monitoring should be improved using the HDM-4 automated road development and management system. The current legal framework in terms of the implementation of international forms of contracts, including FIDIC, NEC, needs to be updated. A promising direction for improving the management of enterprises in the road industry of Ukraine is the implementation of information modeling in construction, namely the use of digital technologies for building information models of VIM - technologies. The key task is to ensure a clear, transparent system of procurement and setting prices for construction, repair works and services. The implementation of the specified measures will contribute to increasing the level of validity of operational and strategic management decisions to ensure the effective functioning and development of enterprises in the road industry of Ukraine.

Abstract The objective of this paper was to create a proof of concept for a blockchain application in aviation world, with an emphasis on improving the aircraft maintenance traceability. It is well known that aviation industry manages incredible complex systems, where failure is not an option. This industry needs blockchain technology not only for safety improvements but also for a new business model where airline companies can deliver more trust and more transparency to their customers. Nowadays, the passengers who are the end customers, cannot evaluate an airline company from the point of view of fleet maintenance. Bad or uncomplete maintenance are premises for an undesired accident. Moreover, aircraft investigators and auditors are experiencing difficulties in understanding how an aircraft was operated. Thinking of forecasting defects, models of predictive maintenance cannot be developed if accurate data are not available. All these can be changed with the implementation of the proposed blockchain application. Beside the theoretical explanations, the scope of this work was also to put in practice the main blockchain features and develop on a small scale, a real decentralized blockchain application using Python programming language. The script was designed to run on a localhost machine and store maintenance records and relevant parameters for the process of tracking an airplane’s lifespan in a chain of interconnected blocks. Therefore, the traditional approach in the data management is no longer an option for the aviation industry.

The last years’ experience of functioning during the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that digital solutions can significantly increase the efficiency of business operational processes. This study focuses on the implementation of digital technologies at the airports to optimize information and financial flows, that are required for the air cargo transportation. The study was carried out based on the analysis of technological schedules of airports and airlines for cargo handling. As a result of this study, we have identified the main problematic operations leading to an increase in the time spent by cargo at the airports. The article examines and summarizes the world practice of using blockchain technology to manage information and financial flows in air cargo. The article has developed a model for the implementation of these technologies in the air cargo industry on the basis of a single blockchain platform. This model allows making optimal use of available airport resources in order to minimize service delays. It solves the main problem of creating the transparency of the information exchange between all air cargo transportation participants.

Purpose This paper aims to systematically expound the theory and development background of supply chain finance and blockchain, design a railway freight supply chain financial platform based on blockchain, determine the risk management system and business support system of supply chain finance business and analyze the value generated by the combination of supply chain finance business and blockchain. Design/methodology/approach Investigation and research method; Prototype method; Model method; Value analysis. Findings The business model integrating supply chain finance and blockchain technology will bring great changes to freight industry. The development of supply chain finance is beneficial to the healthy development of the core participants of railway freight transport business and its upstream and downstream ecosystems. It links commerce, logistics, warehousing and financial services together and builds an industry-integrated ecological service platform through information technology platform and supporting system, taking data as the basis and combining information technology such as blockchain as innovative means. Originality/value This paper will provide important reference value for related research. This paper innovatively designs the supply chain financial platform of freight transportation industry-integrating blockchain technology and analyzes its business model, technical system, risk management and control system and value system in detail, which will provide technical support for the innovative reform of freight information technology and realize the stable and high-speed development of freight logistics informationization.

Abstract Digital systems in railways known as “digital railways” have dramatically changed the railway industry and the nature of railway employees’ work. The Digital Railway is in a large extend linked with the knowledge-based economy, knowledge management and knowledge management technologies which have had a significant impact on digital transformations in the industry and professional education. An ontology characterized the cause-effect and aggregative relations reflecting transformation chains in the various spheres of human activity and shedding light on the Digital Railway place in the context of digital economy is presented. The article argues that the Digital Railway role in changing mechanisms of interaction between industry and universities, which are also specialized research centres with closer ties to the industry, is best understood applying to the idea of “a smart contract” that can be reduced to artificial intelligent agents serving as intermediaries providing interaction between the non-human and human roles in a business process. With the smart contract technology, the Digital Railway might provide a precedent in development of the Hybrid Corporate Intelligence based on industry-related knowledge redistributed between artificial intelligent agents and employees. From this perspective, the process of corporate informatization is seen through a system of artificial intelligent agents implying the formalization of operational rules and regulations into a shared knowledge base in a form of ontologies. The proposed idea can be transferred to universities where smart contracts may support professional training as a business process.

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na možnost využití technologie Blockchain a Smart Contracts pro smluvní vztahy ve stavebních projektech. Nejprve je představena samotná technologie Blockchain a princip jejího fungování. Následně práce řeší otázku tradičních smluv a smluvních vztahů v České republice i v zahraničí. Další část bakalářské práce se věnuje Smart Contracts. Po představení obou variant (tradiční smlouvy a Smart Contracts) následuje porovnání na základě vybraných kritérií. Následně jsou v práci představeny některé existující nástroje, které využívají technologii Blockchain (nejen pro účely Smart Contracts). Posledním bodem je návrh řešení a úpravy smlouvy o dílo za použití Smart Contracts na již realizovaném projektu.

Digitalization requires a new form of management to master the transformation process of corporations and companies. The Dortmund Management Model structures the focus areas of the digital transformation along the management tasks goal, planning, decision, realization and monitoring as well as the common socio-technical subsystems technological, organizational and personnel - enriched by a fourth dimension: information. Additionally, the acceleration factors transformation, migration and change management are taken into account. This paper embraces a vision for a persistent management of production and supply chain networks in order to achieve a holistic Management 4.0. The emerging developments of technology, methods, tools and models in production and supply chain research are connected and merged into a big picture of digital supply chain management and logistics. The interfaces between management tasks show specific characteristics of digital business processes in particular, which are hereinafter exemplarily outlined: New business models and value-creation networks are based on adaption intelligent production systems, which are interconnected with digital models for continuous planning and reconfiguration. At the shop floor and between sites orders are completed by autonomous guided vehicles (AGV) with intelligent load carriers. Decentralized negotiations and decisions across company boundaries concluded with smart contracts are enabling reasonable and sustainable distribution of the value creation processes. Humans are still in the center of action – abilities are developed by integrated competence management, new learning approaches and human-centered assistance systems coupled with AI-based decision-making support. New types of organizations allow a synergetic collaboration of humans and machines. The benefit of integrating new production and transport technologies becomes assessable and accelerates the ongoing renewal of existing networks. This paper provides an overview of possible potential and connecting factors by linking different technological developments towards supply chain, logistics, production and management research and shows further research demands.

At the end of the second decade of the 21 st century, the blockchain technology and the Internet of Things entered the focus of interest of all Internet users and numerous companies. Since blockchain technology has been proven in the production and trade of crypto-currencies, many potential users have noted that this technology has a potential to be applicable in many areas, practically as an operating system where the Bitcoin was only one application. This paper analyzes a possibility of using blockchain technology and the Industrial Internet of Things to improve supply chains. Particularly they are discussed the impacts of these two technologies on changes in supply chains and the effects that can be achieved by their application, as well as some examples of their use and potential use. It is also analyzed the investment situation concerning applications of the blockchain and the Industrial Internet of Thing in the supply chains. In conclusions, the authors point to the rapid development of blockchain technology and the Internet of Things, but also that their massive application can only be expected in a few years.
