Smart Ways to Reduce Gas Fees for NFT Platforms on the Polygon Blockchain

Rahul Raghavan Tharammal, Prashant Nitnaware

Non-fungible token (NFT) markets leveraging blockchain technology have surged in popularity, offering advantages like transparent ownership history, fractional ownership, and secure operations. However, high gas fees can make trading on the blockchain expensive. This paper investigates strategies to reduce these costs in NFT marketplace contract implementation and execution. We tested our solutions on the Polygon blockchain, using Solidity for smart contract development and Visual Studio Code for testing. Our approach focuses on creating efficient NFT marketplace contracts for listing properties, executing transactions, and ensuring secure ownership transfer. Our analysis demonstrates an average transaction cost reduction of $\mathbf{3 5. 1 4 \%}$ and a 5.10% decrease in the cost of a single transaction. These optimizations significantly lower gas fees, enhancing the efficiency and viability of NFT markets in the private sector.

Monitoring of geotechnical facilities through DLT solution

Teodora Hristova, Ivan Mitev, Veselin Balev

Abstract The article states the objectives of geotechnical monitoring in an open cast mine and discusses the main measurement methods. Distributed ledger technology (DLT) is recommended for monitoring and sharing data on the condition of the mine slopes between private and public organizations. Private DLT implementation is chosen because confidential corporate data is shared. A conceptual model for communication among the Mining Company, the responsible institutions and regulatory authorities has been suggested. It has been established that there is a possibility of leakage of personal data according to the GDPR.

Blockchain application in mining management

Teodora Hristova

A new tool for achieving a sustainable business climate in mining is DLT communication and blockchain data recording. The introduction of DLT will help increase confidence among participants mining executives, employees, regulators and suppliers. The factors that interdict the implementation of DLT are classified. Each of them has been analyzed and models for data exchange among roles have been proposed for illustration. The example is for measurement of the energy consumed and the material mined for an open pit. A scheme for the introduction of correction in case of measurement unaccuracy has been developed.

Optimization of Hybrid Systems ’Operating Modes Based on Renewable Energy

В. В. Елистратов, Roman S. Denisov

The development of the isolated and decentralized territories' energy infrastructure is one of the most important issues for the development of world energy. This task was set by the International Energy Agency within the framework of the adopted energy policy until 2050. Isolated energy supply zones in Russia cover up more than 60% of the entire territory. Authors in this paper define the operation modes of the hybrid systems with a high penetration level of diesel fuel. In the article, a multipurpose selection method of the main and auxiliary equipment of the energy complex based on renewable energy sources was showed. In the article, the process of creating unique laboratory bench for conducting simulation studies of wind power plants was described. The research work was completed during ENI CBC project Energy-efficient systems based on renewable energy for Arctic conditions "EFREA" financed by the European Union, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Finland.

Создание энергонезависимого линейного узла запорной арматуры магистрального нефтепровода, проходящего в районе децентрализованного электроснабжения

Т. Г. Шмаков

The article reviews one of the solutions to the challenging issue – energy supply and the organization of telemetry and communication system of process facilities located in remote areas, often in the zone of decentralized power supply, where the cable laying is impossible or requires time and money. The author considers the possibility of creating a wireless self-contained block valve unit through the example of the linear section from 0 to 153 km of the “Zapolyarye – Purpe – Samotlor” pipeline s transportation system (the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Russia), what is proposed to be implemented with energy from fuel-free technologies for generating electricity. The author has developed a scheme of the combined power complex using various sources of energy supply. It is proposed to use wind-driven power plants and solar photovoltaic modules as the main energy source, and a rechargeable battery pack and a diesel generator set for back-up power supply. The energy potentials of wind and solar radiation of the territory where the main pipeline is passes was statistically analyzed. Also, the paper discusses the organization of a wireless telemetry and communications system of the main oil pipeline. It is proposed to carry out by creating a line-of-sight radio relay link system with two radio links (primary and backup) and auxiliary duplication from the existing digital global communication system deployed on the basis of low-orbit satellites.

Implementation of directed acyclic graph in blockchain network to improve security and speed of transactions

И.Д. Котилевец, I. A. Ivanova, Ilya Romanov, Shamil Magomedov · 6 authors

The article describes the advantages provided by the implementation of a directed acyclic graph in the blockchain network. The advantages and known limitations of common blockchain networks are described. It is shown how directed acyclic graph allows increasing the speed of transactions between the network nodes and scaling the channel width due to the formation of parallel chains instead of the single true chain in common blockchain networks. Consequently, it is shown how blockchain network with directed acyclic graph also eliminates the concept of mining, allowing for transactions without the corresponding fees.
