This thesis focuses on the phenomenon of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and their potential future use in brand and personal marketing communication in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to investigate what role non-fungible tokens can play in marketing communication in the Czech Republic from the perspective of Czech professionals. The theoretical part introduces the NFT itself and also the technology and philosophy of blockchain, which is essential for NFT, along with digital channels such as the game environment or the metaverse that may influence the future use of NFT. It also presents current practical examples of the marketing use of NFT in the world. The practical part is based on in-depth semi-structured interviews with communication and technology experts. Subsequent qualitative analysis of this data provides information about the experts' view on the use of this technology in marketing within the Czech Republic. The main findings of the research include that the use of NFTs in the Czech Republic can be quite broad, typically in the form of loyalty programmes or other brand community building activities. While in the past, domestic NFT projects by brands have been more short-term in nature, taking advantage of the initial popularity of NFT and increased media coverage of the topic,...
Consumer Retail Behavior Studies
Consumer Behavior in Brand Consumption and Identification
In this study, we examined the use of non-fungible tokens in the field of events.Using a qualitative research approach based on interviews with event organisers and participants who have already used non-fungible tokens at events, we explored the added value that non-fungible tokens have brought to events. We found that the use of NFTs is still in its infancy, but their adoption is rapidly spreading.NFTs are being used at events in the form of tickets, collectible items and certificates of attendance.NFT tickets add value to both organisers and attendees by ensuring the authenticity of the ticket, enabling a transparent secondary market, and allowing the easy definition of additional benefits such as discounts or access to VIP areas.Yet, several challenges must be tackled before NFTs can be broadly integrated into the tourism sector.iv
The diploma thesis "NFTs as profile pictures on social media" focuses on the young blockchain technology of non-fungible tokens and one of its most common use cases. The theoretical part of the thesis presents key terms and concepts closely related to NFTs and profile pictures. The practical part of the thesis consists of the research itself, a qualitative study conducted via semi-structured interviews with participants who use NFTs as profile pictures on social media. The aim of the research is to find out where and why, in relation to self-presentation, are NFTs used as profile pictures on social media.

Since the last third of the 20th century, schools have been losing their exclusive position of a place of acquiring education. However, education is much more beneficial for current, so called "knowledge society", if we are able to enforce it. Educational system in the Czech Republic (CZ) has undergone essential transformation during last 15 years; a significant decentralization has occurred in regional education. The current aim following the Strategy Europe 2020 is to improve results and motivation of pupils and students at all levels of the educational system; an accent is given also to development of education based on lifelong learning conception. The article is dealing with the problematics of teacher's prestige. The results show that one of possible reasons for lowering teachers' prestige may be their low remuneration. In this respect, could improve the current situation as well in financing schools according to number of students and hours taught since 2020. Another reason is lower respect of teachers by students and their parents. The state should actively solve the situation by implementing rules to protect the school and teachers from the negative behaviour of students. Personality of the teacher will remain an equally important aspect.

Theoretical part contains detailed description of how Bitcoin cryptocurrency works, it's storage ways and comparison with alternative cryptocurriencies which would be, from technological aspect, more appropriate to use for non-tracable transactions.
Financial Aspects of Alternative Payment Systems from the Point of View of Money Laundering Abstract The aim of this thesis is to provide a general overview of the current state of alternative payment systems with regard to their inclusion in the financial market, their properties and potentials for wider use, and to evaluate their possibilities to more effectively combat money laundering, terrorist financing and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. In the first chapter, the thesis explains the broader context with regard to financial systems, especially within the money market systems focusing on retail, while providing a deeper explanation of the context of European law and Czech law. The second chapter is focused on closer analysis of alternative payment systems with regard to their use. Alternative payment systems are divided into two basic categories for centralized alternative payment systems and decentralized alternative payment systems. The category of centralized alternative payment systems corresponds to the current conventional financial market, taking into account the innovations that have emerged in recent years. Decentralized alternative payment systems are based on the DLT Blockchain technology and the Islamic Hawala payment system is analyzed as a purely informal, decentralized...
Bitcoin, first introduced in 2008, and other virtual currencies (litecoin, ripple, ethereum, dash, etc. – known as “altcoins”) are a phenomenon of the 21st century. When speaking about bitcoins, views on cryptocurrency-related risks and benefits vary significantly. However, in this article, we will not focus on bitcoin here to illustrate how virtual currencies work. The aim of this article is to show how the borrowed Anglicism bitcoin is used in the Czech and the French languages. The purpose of the theoretical framework is to clarify concepts of neologism, Anglicism and internationalism and propose relationships among the concepts in a study. In the practical section, using the word bitcoin, we show how the loanword is used in both languages and how its integration into the language is similar. The main result of the analysis is a list of derived and compound words from the word bitcoin in Czech and French. The article deals with derived and compound words from the point of view of their quantitative evaluation using Aranea web corpora. In this article, we have shown the possibilities of their derivatives and adaptation to the given system of the language.
In the literature review, I summed up the evolution of the monetary system, evaluate portfolio of cryptocurrencies and detailed description of what Bitcoin is, how it works and how it developed over time. In the practical part I evaluate views on the future growth of Bitcoin, I analyzed the law regulation of Bitcoin in several countries and reviewed aspects of security. After that I made the selected cryptocurrencies comparison with Bitcoin. I processed the analysis on the basis of liquidity and risk. I summarize the main advantages. At the end I declared the evaluation report regarding whether Bitcoin is an adequate and possible replacement of today´s currencies.
The thesis is focused on the evaluation of budget selected municipalities, especially in the context of the law of RUD and its changes in recent years. In the theoretical part are included the main views on municipal financing systems in terms of centralization and decentralization and also outlined the development of the redistribution of taxes in the Czech Republic and its major impact on the communities in the Czech Republic using aggregate data. Here, the author points out, that it would be better to consider greater fiscal decentralization, together with fiscal autonomy. However, it doesn't go well with recent changes in RUD in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is then analyzed selected municipalities (representing various size groups of municipalities in the Czech Republic) regarding the development and structure of their budgets and major influences having an impact. Even from these analyzes it is quite obvious that the Czech Republic is rather greater tax depending on the state of municipalities (which relates to the growth of shared taxes) and thereby weakening the share of own revenues for municipalities. This is the opposite trend of development compared to other western countries. The Czech Republic also occurs (through laws RUD) to strengthen revenues for small and medium-sized communities, often at the expense of larger ones. These changes could actually lead to weakening of cooperation between the public and private sectors, as well as an inefficient financing and management of public funds for municipalities in the country.
The bachelor thesis describes the software development process of a fully working system of Bitcoin point-of-sale terminals for retail merchants, enabling them to start accepting this cryptocurrency as a means of payment. Author compares his work with existing solutions and explains the necessary background theory of the underlying technologies and certain peculiarities stemming from them. In the following chapters of the thesis, this foundation is used to actually implement and describe the final working solution, which is targeting the Java language platform, Android operating system and Spring web application framework.
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to assess the current development of cryptocurrencies, present information about their current state of development, introduce to four largest projects (Bitcoin, Ethereum, litecoin, Ripple) and to evaluate functioning of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology in the context of start-ups and financial institutions. As a part of this work there is also provided an overview of legislation over cryptocurrencies globally, in the context of the European Union and the Czech Republic. Then there are also presented the actual use of technology, cutting-edge start-ups and their products. Finally the thesis evaluates the intersection of startups into different sectors and presents the views of experts working in various fields of economy.
This thesis discusses symmetric random walk, its definition and basic properties. The outset is focused on the probabilistic model and subsequently on basic properties, such as the final position at time n, its mean value and variance. Furthermore, we will see what the scaling must be for the walk to converge to zero, precisely what is the consequence of the strong law of large numbers. In the second chapter we will examine the distribution of the maximum of the symmetric random walk. In chapter 3 we will define stopping time and Markov property of random walks. Then we proof many auxiliary lemmas using basic knowledge of combinatorics. The final part is devoted to the proof of the arcsine distribution, which shows great persistence of the symmetric random walk. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Předmetem bakalařske prace je analyza virtualni měny Bitcoin jako nove technologii v bankovni sfeře. The bachelor thesis describes current budget system and budget process in conditions of the Czech Republic. The thesis deals with the characteristic of the budget system, its structure and process on the central and local level. It also deals with principles and rules. The attention is focused on budget of local government in whole thesis. The thesis uses the analysis that compiles in the practical part concrete data of financing of public domains on the regional level. The budget of the South Bohemia region and other incidental budgets are analyzed. For this purpose are monitored budget years 2007, 2008 and 2009 from the data of the South Bohemian Regional Authority. The classes of revenues and expenses of budgets are compared for these years. The purpose of using of financial instruments and assessment of the management of South Bohemia region is also analyzed. The topic of the bachelor thesis solves the issue of public budgets that is - not for the first look - touching each of us. Each citizen pays taxes, administrative charges or local taxes, etc., that are revenues of local budgets. It is important to understand how significant the principal of the fiscal decentralization is and when competences are delegated from the central level to the level of regions and municipalities - on this level, they are closer to the citizen. This stands even for local budgets that the citizen can control, influence by elected representatives or he can go to meetings of the representative board on the regional and even on the municipal (local) level because of the decentralization.
The thesis focuses on higher education as an economic good and identifies its characteristics in relation to the method of financing. The main objective is to analyze the system of financing post-secondary education in Canada. The focus of this paper is mainly evaluation of decentralization and thus participation rate of federal and provincial governments for funding. Then it looks at issue of tuition fees and financial aid for students. On the basis of the analysis are evaluated the pros and cons of the system. The last section is devoted to the current lack of funding tertiary education in Czech Republic and proposed concept of tuition fees.
The topic of this bachelor final project is "Variability of municipal revenues in Czech republic and causes". The goal of the project was to analyze revenues of communities of the chosen region, to find differences in these revenues, and to specify the cause of their origin. The introductory part consists of the theory of fiscal federalism, decentralization and functions of public finance. The main part talks about municipal authority, her fiscal system, position of tax revenues and factors that cause differences in tax revenues.
The paper addresses the development of higher education in the Czech Republic after 1989, with special emphasis on the relevant legislation, institutional settings, financing, & enrollment. Czech higher education has changed profoundly since 1989. Universities were granted almost full autonomy as early as in 1990. They have reformed their curricula, expanded programs in the humanities & social sciences, & eliminated political criteria from admissions policies, both for faculty & students. However, the structural changes were not as quick & profound as obtaining & mastering the freedom was. The most significant structural changes in the Czech tertiary educational system addressed in the paper are decentralization & diversification. With regard to financing, the authors argue that universities have remained dependent on the state to a high degree. Several attempts to expand multi-source financing by introducing cost-sharing features (tuition fees, loans, student allowances) failed. The reliance on the public budget led to a severe financial crisis in public universities. As far as enrollment is concerned, the authors demonstrate that, although the number of students rose by almost 60% between 1989 & 2001, the offer of educational opportunities was too low to meet the steeply rising demand for tertiary education. The chance of being admitted hovered around 50%. Owing to the combined effect of a drop in the size of the relevant age cohort & the growing proportion of students admitted to bachelor programs, the chance of enrollment started to increase in 2001. In spite of this recent change, the transition from secondary to tertiary education still remains the most critical moment in an educational career.
