In this paper, I argue that developmental stage theories and the six functional primitives proven necessary for adaptive decision-making are not merely analogous: they are two independently-discovered solutions to the same structural problem, and their convergence is evidence of that shared structure rather than of coincidence. The computational foundation is Ismail's Primitives (Ismail, 2026, V6.1) — a Lean 4/Mathlib formalization with zero sorry, zero custom axioms, and zero opaque terms — establishing that six functional properties are each necessary for sublinear regret under uncertainty, mutually irreplaceable, and compose into a self-reinforcing directed information chain: Objective Tracking, Cross-Context Safety Transfer, Global Attractor Exploration, Policy Simplification, Feasibility Projection, and Feedback Adaptation. The mapping. I align these six primitives, in sequence, against three developmental traditions built from incompatible methods and foundational assumptions about what psychology is: Erikson's psychosocial stages (clinical psychoanalytic observation), Maslow's motivational hierarchy (humanistic psychology's healthy-population method), and Bowlby's attachment phases (ethology and evolutionary biology). None was constructed with reference to the others. The alignment does more than pair labels: it supplies the first computational-rationality account of why these stages occur in this order and no other, and reframes their convergence as convergent evolution of functional architecture — artificial and biological systems arriving independently at the same sequential solution because they face the same adaptive problem, not because they share mechanisms or ancestry. The evidence. Three theoretical traditions, developed independently, using different methods, on different populations, converging on the same six-stage functional sequence is consilience in Whewell's (1840) and Wilson's (1998) technical sense: independent lines of inquiry arriving at the same structural conclusion. The necessity framework is the first principled account of why that convergence exists. The scope. Machine verification settles whether the six primitives are necessary and mutually irreplaceable as properties of decision processes; it does not settle whether human development instantiates them. That second claim is argued here on the consilience evidence above, not asserted by proof. This paper's role is to establish the functional bridge itself — the mapping, its theoretical licensing (multiple realizability, Marr's levels, computational rationality), and the testable predictions it generates for stage universality, cross-cultural variation, developmental arrest, intervention timing, and clinical and educational practice. A fuller clinical elaboration is developed in companion work. To this paper's knowledge, no developmental stage theory has previously been given an explicit computational-necessity account of why its stages occur in one fixed order rather than another, let alone one now grounded in a machine-checked proof. The companion mathematics paper and its complete Lean 4 formalization — zero sorry, zero custom axioms, ~12,700 lines, every theorem cross-referenced to its exact identifier — are at github.com/M-Ismail-ZA/IsmailsPrimitives (Zenodo: doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21177368). This paper examines the organizational benefits of Distributed Leadership (DL) through a systematic literature review. DL has gained wide international traction as organizations move away from concentrated, single-leader models toward decentralized and participatory approaches to managing increasingly complex environments. The selected study used here were selectively and carefully analysed using mostly the thematic analysis in ordere to identify the recurring patterns and evidence regarding the benefits of DL in the leadership of organisations. While DL is generally regarded to be beneficial for organizational performance, the specific mechanisms through which these benefits are being produced remain scattered all across disciplinary literatures that are rarely engaged to one another. Anchored in Distributed Leadership theory (Spillane, 2006) and Gunter's (2005) model of Distributed Leadership, this review systematically searched, screened, and thematically synthesized peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, and credible scholarly databases published between 2005 and 2026. Following a defined search strategy and explicit eligibility criteria, 28 sources met the inclusion criteria and were retained for thematic synthesis. The review finds that DL strengthens organizational performance and efficiency chiefly by empowering employees, enabling autonomous team decision-making, reducing workplace anxiety, promoting psychological safety, building trust and engagement, strengthening accountability, and fostering innovation and diversity of thought. These benefits recur across education, healthcare, and corporate settings, and across geographically diverse contexts, suggesting that DL's underlying mechanisms of shared authority, relational trust, and distributed accountability operate consistently regardless of sector. The review recommends that organizations invest in structured managerial training on Distributed Leadership to support its effective implementation.

Purpose This study aims to explore the required leadership competencies for successful blockchain technology (BCT) implementation in public sector organizations from a sensemaking perspective. Design/methodology/approach The study uses a multiple case study design. Primary data are collected by conducting semi-structured interviews with several representatives of Finnish public sector organizations. Written material from the selected organizations complements the primary data. NVivo14 is used to generate codes and analyze data. Findings The analysis shows that through sensemaking, leaders identify cues for digitally transforming their organizations through blockchain by leveraging their curious and rational vision. After identifying the cues, leaders then interpret these cues through technological understanding and exploring different technological solutions. Once the cues are interpreted for blockchain implementation, the third step is enactment after interpreting the cues. Leaders can facilitate the enactment of blockchain by connecting the outcomes of blockchain with organizational processes and goals. Furthermore, a dark side of BCT is identified, consisting of overly optimistic expectations and creating technological dependencies in the public sector. Research limitations/implications The study was conducted in 11 public organizations in Finland, which limits the generalizability of the findings. Leadership competencies that are required for blockchain implementation within organizations can be studied further by considering more use cases. The potential dark side of blockchain implementation can be explored further. Originality/value The presented research model of leadership competencies for blockchain implementation is derived from sensemaking research and contributes to the literature on leadership competencies by applying sensemaking to the study of BCT.

In China's Internet finance industry, companies face a complex and uncertain environment that poses significant adaptive challenges. The strictness of regulatory policies, the rapid development of technological innovation, and the sharp changes in consumer preferences have profound implications for the survival and development of enterprises. Many Internet finance companies have struggled to cope with these challenges, leading to hindered business development, a significant decline in profits, and even withdrawal from the market. This thesis focuses on how Internet finance companies make strategic adjustments to adapt to the complex and variable external environment and investigates the role of dynamic capabilities in this process. The research categorizes the strategic adjustment process into three phases: strategic analysis, strategic planning and selection, and strategic implementation and evaluation. Throughout this process, the three components of dynamic capabilities - sensing capability, seizing capability, and transformation capability - have been identified as crucial success factors. Sensing capability assists the company in rapidly and accurately identifying changes in the external environment. Seizing capability enhances decision-making and execution efficiency through decentralized management and resolution mechanisms. Transformation capability mitigates the challenges of resource acquisition by facilitating flexible resource allocation and effective training mechanisms, expediting the deployment of new strategies. The findings indicate that Internet finance enterprise, through effective strategic adjustments, has sustained business growth and core competitiveness despite the impact of external environmental changes and regulatory policies. This study also reveals how dynamic capabilities ensure the success of the strategic adjustment process and their indispensable role throughout it.

Abstract Blockchain has enormous capabilities to transform the traditional business models in countless ways. Banks in India are building collaborative blockchain ecosystems to create an innovative business model and disrupt the traditional one to create further competitive advantages. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between blockchain capabilities (BCC), competitive advantages (CA) and organizational performance (OP). Further, to evaluate the mediating role of CA on the relationship between BCC and OP. In this context, scientific research model consisting of a hypothesis has been developed from the existing literature. The proposed model was tested using statistical data collected from Blockchain specialists, blockchain product marketing managers, experts of future and emergent technology and VP/AVP/Chief Manager/Branch head of banks/ financial Analyst/divisional Managers who are involved in planning and deployment of practical blockchain in banking/financial sector. Data was analyzed and tested through AMOS 22.0 and process macro using a sample of 289 responses. Our empirical result indicated that there is a significant positive relationship between BCC, CA and OP. Furthermore, relationship of BCC and OP partially mediated CA. This paper presents originality and contributes towards the body of knowledge on this subject to understand the relationship and mediation role of CA on the relationship between BCC and OP in Indian banking sector.

The research objective is to find a new management control structure, in addition to the existing models: mechanistic and organic. The approach used is hermeneutic to reinterpret the text of management control structure in the Padang restaurant from the relevant literature. After finding the meaning of the text, then field observations were carried out. All relevant literature is positioned as a neutral text which is then reinterpreted to get the essence of the concept of management control structure. The research finding is the design of the Padang restaurant management control structure is the development of the organic model. Each restaurant branch is an autonomous organizational sub-unit, which includes three main characteristics, first, a horizontal and non-hierarchical organizational structure design, and a strategic business unit character. Managers in each branch are given full authority in making operational decisions of the company, a picture of radical decentralization can be seen. Second, the communication network follows the design rhythm of a flat organizational structure, namely fluid communication, dominated by informal communication. The third is budgeting, which is flexible, that is, there is no conventional budgeting that contains details, but only outlines.

Blockchain technology has been gaining traction across different sectors. It has the potential to immensely benefit the healthcare sector, given the sector's inherent complexities, problems, and inefficiencies. However, to date, no comprehensive, evidence-based effort has been made to understand the readiness of this sector for blockchain adoption. We proposed a readiness assessment framework that encompasses the complex interplay of different underlying factors, social structures, and institutional mechanisms and that covers all key stakeholders. Based on a systematic literature review, the framework is applied to the UAE's healthcare sector and its applicability and usefulness is established. The findings show the multifaceted significance of government readiness in driving blockchain initiatives. Large firms are found to be more willing to leverage the opportunities afforded by blockchain. Lack of clarity on blockchain regulations and laws, and issues pertaining to privacy and trust are found to affect the readiness of all stakeholders. The proposed framework and the study's findings will be useful in guiding policy interventions and developing support mechanisms to strengthen areas related to blockchain adoption.

An organization can be likened to a building whose strength is determined by the structure and frames which holds it. The structure is the manner in which interrelated elements (resources) are arranged so that the building can be stable, resist stress and it provides the right form. To this end, for the performance of an organization to be effective, it is important to understand the right manner in which interrelated elements (structure) in the specific organization is arranged. To measure the performance of the organization, dependent variables such as sales, profit, and customer satisfaction will be considered. Also, the study utilized independent variables centralization and formalization organizational structures. This is to show the effects of the dependent variables on the independent variable. The research adopted quantitative design and applied mono method which brought about numerical data generated from questionnaire administered. The population of this study comprises of all staff of Covenant Micro Finance Bank as well as the customers of the banks. Total sum of 354 sample size comprising of both employees (51) and customers (303) of Covenant Micro Finance Bank is the sample size. The propositions assumed for this study are that: there is no relationship between organizational centralization and organizational customer satisfaction, there is no relationship between organizational centralization and organizational profit, there is no relationship between organizational formalization and organizational customer satisfaction and that there is no relationship between organizational formalization and organizational profit. Also, among the secondary data collected are views of various management researchers. As a result of the primary and secondary data collected, the study recommends that organizations should adopt decentralization structure and reduce formalization in the work place.

The aim of this paper is to explore the influence of strategic planning in improving the quality of education. The quality of education is directly linked to the effort expended in making arrangements or preparations of educational objectives and determining the requisite resources to facilitate the training, instruction or study that leads to the acquisition of skills or knowledge. Education at secondary sector is of particular importance because it seeks to augment the general intellectual skills acquired at primary level, which are also relevant to any productive occupation including subsequent education. In Kenya, the Decentralized Education Management Activity initiated by the Ministry of Education in 2012 in partnership with USAID embarked on capacity development among education managers at the district and school level to enable them prepare and implement strategic plans. This notwithstanding, education at secondary level continues to experience unique challenges which are more often attributed to deficiencies in planning. Lack of emphasis on careful planning and implementation of plans could have implications for institutions in the current competitive environment. This paper is based on literature search on educational administrators' perceptions of strategic plans, formulation, implementation and their effects on the quality of education. From literature, the vital role of strategic planning in enhancing quality of education is underscored; evidently, some schools have strategic plans in spite of the constraints in their formulation. Strategic planning is viewed as a tool that enables stakeholders to increasingly contribute to the school's strategic objectives which result in long-term sustainability and improvement in quality of education.
