The term “decentralized finance” is analyzed within the framework of the cognitive paradigm. The article examinesthe application of cognitive-matrix analysis as a method for studying the terminological vocabulary of the specified domain. The object of the research is the term “decentralized finance”, while the subject is the application of cognitive matrix analysis as a method for studying the terminological vocabulary of decentralized finance. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that, for the first time in Russian terminology studies, English-language terms of the specified field are examined from a cognitive perspective. An example is provided of how cognitive matrix analysis can be used to identify the conceptual structure of decentralized finance terms. The article considers several approaches to defining the concept of the term: the substantial, functional, and cognitive. A cognitive matrix analysis is conducted on the material of the term “decentralized finance”, as represented in the glossaries of decentralized platforms, applications, and English-language news resources such as Binance Academy, Consensys, Ethereum Website, Ethereum Glossary, and Tastycrypto. The analysis reveals that the “technical and technological” and “social” peripheral domains are most prominently represented in the structure of the concept DECENTRALIZED FINANCE, whereas the “financial” and “legal” domains are less explicitly present. This is due to the shift in focus from basic characteristics of the concept to innovative and differentiating features in the term’s definitions. Cognitive matrix analysis makes it possible to identify peripheral domains and conceptual components of the cognitive structure of DeFi terminological vocabulary, highlighting its interdisciplinary nature.

Dramaturgy in the context of modern technologies: hypertextuality and the use of autonomous systems

Aleksandr Anatol'evich Boldirihin

The subject of the research is the structural and content-related features of contemporary dramatic texts, arising under the influence of the digital environment and the integration of works into the global hypertextual space. The focus is on the ways of organizing plays that utilize hyperlinks, generative algorithms, and autonomous systems as integral elements of artistic structure. The transformation of traditional dramatic categories in the context of cybertext is analyzed, as well as the change in the nature of interaction between the text, the reader, and the performer, which requires the recipient to exert physical effort, make choices, and participate in the construction of the artwork's meaning. The material for analysis includes the works of E. Augusteniak "Lorem Ipsum," D. Gursky "Ikonostas.mp3," and E. Demidova "Text Generator 'Distant Relatives,'" presented within the framework of the fringe program of the dramaturgy festival "Lyubimovka." The theoretical basis of the research consists of concepts such as the "multimodal turn," hypertext by D. Landow, understood as a decentralized structure connected through hyperlinks, and cybertext by E. Orset, emphasizing the figure of the reader as an integrated participant who makes non-trivial efforts to navigate through the text. The scientific novelty of the article is due to the fact that it identifies and systematizes the main strategies for utilizing digital technologies in contemporary Russian dramaturgy for the first time. The article highlights two strategies for using generative technologies: the conflicting montage of machine and human text (Augusteniak) and assigning the program a co-author role with a fundamentally different perspective (Demidova). It concludes that hypertextual dramaturgy presents new demands on the reader and the performer: physical effort in reading, the right to choose, and independent text construction, along with new possibilities for the topological organization of the play. Although the analyzed plays were created within the framework of a specific festival project, the identified principles of their structure are subject to broader extrapolation. There are broad prospects for further studying digital dramaturgy.

Semiotics of speculative information : financial markets, electronic technologies and sign mediation

Homero Vianna de Paula Sobrinho

The theme of this research falls under the inquiries about the forms of human-machine interactivity and about the semiotic mechanisms characteristic of speculative cybernetics. Despite the impact of financial markets on our lives, little is known about the role of representations in financial speculation. The traders combine the processing of mathematical calculations to probabilistic predictions, perform diagrammatic experiments and manipulate propositional formulas in order to map the “market” with the objective of composing their “bet” in order to trigger, or “execute” the action: a “command” to buy or sell. The implicit phenomenon to be studied is semiosis: the action, or influence, that is, or involves, a cooperation of three subjects, a Sign, its Object and its Interpretant. The dissemination of new technologies for mediating financial and speculative interactions and the impact of information representation strategies on the day-to-day life of contemporary capitalist societies demand the investigation of the peculiarities of speculative information. The expansion of scientific horizons in the field of social communication studies futher justifies the endeavor. The study focuses on the action of peculiar semiotic events within the technological-cognitive ecology of electronic speculation in search of mechanisms that capture a characteristic epistemic value, implicit in the semiotic transit. The initial hypothesis is the existence of a kind of “semiotic capital” immersed in the semiotic exchange between specialized representations, a form of mechanism implicit in the operation of speculative artifacts, or, more specifically, when the epistemic activity generates a dividend of “speculative knowledge”. The theoretical, qualitative and multidisciplinary study moves between the fields of information theory and semiotics, drawing on studies of political economy, political economy of information, theories and hypotheses of economic sociology and studies of micro sociology of financial markets in the field of sociology of science and technology, research and development of visualization interfaces, theories of cognition, biosemiotics and philosophy of mathematics, when it examines the peculiar sign forms through analytical models based on the Peircean doctrine of signs, with the objective of identifying innovative technological-cognitive compositions directed at the processes of communication of speculative information. The approach of the empirical subject of the study consisted of a survey and selection of documents and literature produced by the research and development of the specialized technoscience, the research of electronic interfaces for operations on financial markets, and a critical selection of “samples”, or significant examples, of visualization artifacts, data mapping and cognitive experimentation. How is speculative information composed? What is the status of representations in speculative cybernetics? How can we explain the role of signs in semiotic mediations in electronic financial markets? These questions lead us to investigate: (i) how specialized cognitive artifacts are composed, (ii) how semiotic operators and mechanisms interact in the mediation of speculative information, (iii) whether the concept of semiotic capital can point to new ways of explaining the capture of value in speculative cybernetics. The hypothesis of “semiotic capital” points to a modality of stabilization of existing mediation mechanisms in the form of imagetic, diagrammatic, metaphorical and propositional signs, articulated by specialized modes of communication and accelerated by advanced computational competence to generate a type of “speculative information” peculiar to electronic markets. Speculative semiotic capital can be described as a type of information that is both concrete and abstract, and that acts as “proof” of knowledge of the state of the system (value) determined by the “speculative” interpretative vector. The study can be expanded to include the development of electronic markets for mobile applications, non-fungible tokens and online gambling, in addition to providing relevant variables for empirical investigations.

Intercultural And Inter-Ethnic Communication Problems

Ekaterina V. Titova

The article presents the experience of coordinated work of public organizations, state authorities and local self-governments on strengthening harmonized interethnic interaction in the region with a multi-ethnic population. It is noted that the intercultural communication in the Jewish Autonomous Region is presented in the context of preserving national security. Making favourable intercultural interactions is based, first of all, on personal changes when matching another ethnic culture is achieved. The practical significance of the research is caused by the growing interest in studying social and ethnocultural aspects of migrants’ adaptation for the activities of educational institutions, national-cultural autonomies and various state civil social institutions to introduce necessary adjustments, in particular, in the behavioural stereotypes of migrants. That is what seems to be a vital purpose. The importance of involving professionals from state authorities, holding regular ethnocultural events to maintain a harmonized image of the region within the inter-ethnic communication is focused. At present, interethnic and intercultural processes developing within the modernization of the public sphere and significant decentralization of the state mechanism are marked by significant regional characteristics. In particular, regional authorities are the main participants of ethnocultural policy. All this determines the relevance of studying theoretical and practical problems of harmonization of interethnic relations both at the macro-sociological level and at the level of regional multi-ethnic communities.
