The following article sums up the current problems of the logistics and explains how the Blockchain technology can help to solve some of them. A utility value analysis is used to quantify the scenarios the Blockchain is most likely to be used in. This offers a result that, in comparison to current research, does not only show the opportunities but also how likely they are to be used in these sections. In the next step these scenarios are compared with each other. These results lead to a outlook to potential applications of the Blockchain technology in the logistics.
Creative computing is very popular in recent years and has great potential. The introduction of systematic creative mechanisms and principles can provide solutions to practical problems, such as potential forgery and tampering of trade data in traditional supply chains. Guided by being creative, this paper proposes a new trusted data management scheme based on blockchain. First, a smart contract suitable for supply chain is designed to code trade rules in order to prevent performance risks and improve the credibility of trade data processing. Then, a ZSS04 scheme and sampling techniques are used to complete transaction data integrity check. Furthermore, an optimized PBFT consensus mechanism is proposed to achieve efficient, low cost, and scalable transaction data management. Finally, the trusted data management in untrusted environment is implemented by using the native characteristics of blockchain. Results show that the scheme can provide new ideas and technical support for transaction data management in supply chain.

The proliferation of electric vehicles and active distribution network has brought many uncertainties to the power system. If the power system involves battery-swap stations of electric vehicles, it is difficult to ensure the data security during the distributed scheduling. To solve the problem, this paper sets up a collaborative optimization model for distributed scheduling based on blockchain consensus mechanism, considering the battery-swap stations. The power system was divided into three levels: the transmission network level, the distribution network level and the battery-swap station level. Next, the objective functions were constructed to minimize the generation cost and daily load variance on each level, and the optimal scheduling plan for the power system was solved through multi-level collaborative optimization. The blockchain consensus mechanism was adopted to verify the accuracy of the transaction data, and the production data of all entities were encoded by hash function before storage, such that the data are tamper resistant and traceable. The example analysis shows that our model can effectively reduce the generation cost, lower the daily load variance, and enhance system stability. The research findings shed new light on maintaining the optimization efficiency and data confidentiality of modern power network.
Abstract Blockchains are increasingly being used for content distribution, sometimes as an unwanted side effect of blockchain applications that have other primary purposes, sometimes as intended content distribution. The typical characteristics of a blockchain such as its claimed immutability raise new questions as to what preventive measures can reasonably be demanded from blockchain intermediaries, and managers of nodes in particular. The article asks whether the exemptions introduced in the Directive on e-Commerce can be applied, what mitigating or preventive measures other than Notice-and-Takedown can be applied and how governmental regulators should react.

The certified mail is a value-added service that is widely used in the paper world. However, the scientific community has not yet provided a solution for certified e-mail that has achieved widespread acceptance. This lack of a certified e-mail solution is not due to a lack of proposed approaches; because over the past 40 years, more than 100 protocols have been reported in journals and at conferences. The vast majority of these proposed protocols use a trusted third party (TTP) to achieve fairness. The few solutions without a TTP have not been successful due to their high computational and/or communication cost. Blockchain provides a new approach to develop the protocols without a TTP but without the prior drawbacks of the previous solutions without a TTP. Here, we present a new protocol for certified e-mail based on a blockchain without a conventional TTP that is integrated with the conventional e-mail infrastructure. The protocol is secure, efficient, and viable from a practical perspective.
Currently, blockchain technology has been widely researched and is being applied to many other fields, such as financial transactions, E-government, logistics, and supply-chain system. It can be used to store and maintain transaction data through the de-centralized model. In this paper, we propose an autonomous resource request transaction framework based on blockchain in a social network, in which all kinds of resources in the social community can be traded through blockchain technology. When a user needs to acquire some resources from a community, the user may make a transaction with the members from the community through blockchain technology while the members autonomously negotiate each other to reach an agreement. The proposed framework provides an incentive mechanism to encourage community members to disseminate the resources through a smart contract.
The promise of immutable documents to make it easier and less expensive for consumers and producers to collaborate in a verifiable way would represent an enormous progress, especially as companies strive for establish service contracts which are based on the flow of many small transactions using machine-to-machine communication. The blockchain technology logs these data, verifies the authenticity and make them available for service offers. This work deal with an architecture enabling to setup order processing between consumers and producers using blockchain. In this way, the technical feasibility is shown and the special characteristics of blockchain production networks will be discussed.

Enterprise blockchain applications can allow trading partners to transact directly without relying on trusted third parties and promise to: eliminate the need for reconciliations, instantly track and trace assets through a supply chain, provide unbeatable data provenance, settle transactions quickly and cheaply, and enable an information security model that is fault tolerant, resilient, and available. Many of these promised benefits seemingly address the challenges of non-blockchain based inter-organizational systems. However, this research indicates that blockchain based inter-organizational applications pose significant challenges of their own. Based on interview and participant observation data, we identified five challenges: (1) competing blockchain standards, (2) adjusting to different shared governance models, (3) intellectual property concerns (4) industrial espionage risks, and (5) regulatory uncertainty. We also identified emerging practices stakeholders are using to address those challenges when considering enterprise blockchain applications.
Blockchain technology and smart contract development currently lacks clarity in its implementation. The complicated architecture of blockchain is an obstacle that developers face during design and implementation of blockchain-based systems. In this paper we propose a method based on Model Driven Architecture, which could be used for defining and specifying blockchain structure and behavior. Such approach could be used as one of the ways for describing blockchain-based systems in a more general language in order to facilitate blockchain development process.
As an important part of the national economy, (Small and Medium Industrial Enterprise)SMIE are an important factor that promotes China’s economic growth, but financing is still a difficult problem that restricts their development. Dependent on its intelligent protocols, distributed features and consensus mechanism, blockchain has broad prospects in the field of enterprise credit reporting, but the previous credit evaluation system had problems such as forgery of corporate credit records and imperfect evaluation indicators. This paper studied the SMIE credit evaluation model and analyzed the evaluation indicators, and based on blockchain technology, it realized data sharing and eliminated the impact of false data on the model. Finally, it proposed the construction of an SMIE credit evaluation model with complete evaluation indicators so as to improve related research on credit evaluation system.
Blockchain is considered to be a technology that has the potential to bring major political, social and economic benefits to developing economies such as India (Kshetri, 2017a). According to the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), blockchain-led increase in productivity and cost reduction can create value of up to US$5 billion in the Indian economy by 2023 (IANS, 2018). The research company ResearchAndMarkets.com's study indicated that the banking and financial services sector is expected to the leading sector to benefit from this technology (Business Wire, 2018).
