The integration of cryptocurrency transaction in online marketplace comes with its pros and cons. This integration brings security, traceability and transparency in the transactions. Besides, the major issue arising here is volatility in price of cryptocurrency,causing inconsistent transaction with reference to the nationally accepted currency.This review paper explores problems surrounding volatility of prices in blockchain based marketplace and adoption of cryptocurrency in online market-places and routine transactions. Because of the price fluctuations of cryptocurrency, the stability of transaction value became unpredictable,creating hesitation among buyers and sellers. The volatility impacts crypto acceptance when it comes to real world accepted currencies. Through the detailed review, we identified what are the possible solutions to combat volatility and enhance reliability of cryptocurrency transaction in real marketplaces, creating higher trust and acceptance rates for blockchain in varied fields. This work seeks measures for bridging the gaps between cryptocurrency's potential and stability in transactions for its acceptance in practical applications.
This interim report provides a comprehensive overview of stakeholder perspectives on the opportunities and risks associated with the development and administration of fintech, distributed ledger technology and artificial intelligence in Aruba. The Government of Aruba aims to diversify its economy away from its reliance on tourism by developing its information and communications technology (ICT) sector. The report is based on consultations with stakeholders from the public and private sectors, civil society and academia, conducted during an on-site mission in February 2025. Key findings highlight the potential for Aruba to become a base for export-oriented ICT services, leveraging its strong infrastructure and well-trained labour force. However, challenges have also been identified, including regulatory and institutional constraints, limited job opportunities and the risk of brain drain. The report emphasizes the need for a supportive regulatory environment and targeted initiatives to foster innovation and competition in the ICT sector, ultimately contributing to Aruba's economic diversification and resilience.
The paper aims to explore the potential of Blockchain in disbursement of the Credit Guarantee Scheme loans to the Women Entepreneurs in order to promote gender equality leading to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030. Moreover, it also attempts to study the relationship between Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and financial inclusion with special reference to the Women Entrepreneurship in the MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in the context of India. It examines the potential of blockchain technology in providing Credit Guarantee Schemes tailored specifically for the Women Entrepreneurs in India. By addressing traditional barriers to the credit, this paper proposes the role of DAOs i.e. Decentralized Autonomous Organizations that enhances ease and transparency in the credit disbursement, reducing risk for lenders, and opens up for new and multiple avenues for female - led businesses. Furthermore, this study synthesizes current literature to offer insights into blockchain's role in fostering inclusive financial environment using the Bibliometric Analysis. This qualitative research work fits with a key gap in the existing research by the key challenges in the Blockchain adoption for the disbursement of the Credit Guarantee Scheme for the women entrepreneurs in the MSMEs by developing a valuable framework to model this important topic. To the best of my knowledge this is the first paper to address these financial concerns of women entrepreneurs in the MSME arena with the usage of Blockchain technology.

The article additionally outlines important aspects of the prominent digital currencies that are accessible in India. The study also concentrates on price assessment of the top five cryptocurrencies during the last year (1 years) as well as this study also indicate the contrasting of prices volatility of cryptocurrencies.
У статті розглянуто концептуальні основи впровадження RWA-токенізації як закономірного етапу еволюції веб-технологій до децентралізованої архітектури інтернету – Web 3.0; висвітлено еволюцію інтернету від Web1 до Web3; запропоновано концепцію RWA-токенізації; представлено структурно-компонентну модель дизайну RWA-токену; виокремлено переваги смарт-контрактів для RWA-токенізації, розглянуто хронологію розвитку токенізації активів; наведено схему процесу RWA-токенізації, що демонструє, як реальні активи перетворюються на цифрові токени, відкриваючи нові горизонти для інвестицій та фінансових інновацій. Встановлено, що в контексті цифрової трансформації економіки України, особливо у повоєнний період, RWA-токенізація може стати потужним інструментом, який здатний сприяти відновленню економічного потенціалу держави завдяки залученню інвестицій, трансформації традиційних економічних моделей та забезпеченню прозорості інвестиційних процесів.

Ensuring workforce compliance has become a critical priority for global enterprises, particularly in sectors such as banking, healthcare, aviation, and logistics, where safety, security, and regulatory adherence are non-negotiable. Traditional drug testing, alcohol screening, and background verification workflows often rely on fragmented, paper-based, or siloed digital systems that introduce inefficiencies, data integrity risks, and audit challenges. These limitations hinder organizations from meeting the increasing demands of multi-jurisdictional compliance frameworks while also exposing them to reputational and legal risks. This article explores the design and implementation of a blockchain-enabled workforce compliance platform that reimagines the verification pipeline through the principles of immutability, decentralization, and cryptographic security. The proposed architecture leverages permissioned blockchain networks, integrated with smart contracts and distributed identity frameworks, to ensure that drug and alcohol testing results, criminal background checks, and employment verification records are securely stored, transparently auditable, and accessible only to authorized stakeholders. We present a comparative framework highlighting how blockchain-based compliance pipelines outperform traditional systems in areas such as tamper-proof recordkeeping, cross-border interoperability, and regulatory audit readiness. The study also emphasizes integration strategies with enterprise HR systems, third-party verification agencies, and global regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, OSHA, and aviation compliance codes). Furthermore, the role of privacy-preserving technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs and decentralized identifiers (DIDs) is discussed in enabling compliance without compromising employee confidentiality. The findings demonstrate that blockchain-enabled compliance solutions deliver significant strategic value, including enhanced trust with regulators, reduced operational overhead, real-time verification capabilities, and a resilient defense against fraud or record tampering. By adopting a secure, transparent, and auditable compliance pipeline, global enterprises can build workforce ecosystems that are not only regulatory-compliant but also future-ready for emerging challenges in cross-border governance and digital workforce management.
Implementacija blockchain i NFT tehnologije u turizmu i ugostiteljstvu predstavlja novi pris-tup digitalnoj transformaciji u spomenutim sektorima, čime se pojavljuje potreba za istraživa-njem ove tematike. Temeljna tehnologija iza ovih pojmova, tzv. blockchian, tehnologija je poznata po kriptografskim blokovima koji osiguravaju siguran prijenos podataka čime je o-mogućen nastanak digitalnih decentraliziranih kriptovaluta i jedinstvene digitalne imovine koja se ne moze replicirati, tzv. NFT (Non-fungible token). U turizmu i ugostiteljstvu, ove tehnologije mogu revolucionirati način poslovanja, omogućiti bržu i sigurniju razmjenu in-formacija između dionika i time otvoriti prostor ka stvaranju inovativnih poslovnih modela. Završni rad analizira aktualne i potencijalne primjene ovih tehnologija, ističući ključne koristi i izazove koji proizlaze iz njihovog usvajanja. Analiza dosadašnje literature na ovu temu ot-kriva da su turizam i ugostiteljstvo među prvima prihvatili digitalne inovacije, prepoznavši potencijal blockchain tehnologije za unapređenje poslovnih procesa jer transformacija klasi-čnih centraliziranih sustava u decentralizirane blockchain platforme pruža dugoročnu konku-rentsku prednost tvrtkama u ovim sektorima. Empirijsko istraživanje provedeno anketnim upitnikom, pokazuje da su turisti donekle upoznati s blockchain tehnologijom, iako se rijetko susreću s njenom primjenom u turističkim iskustvima. Ipak, većina ispitanika pozitivno gleda na širu primjenu blockchain tehnologije u turističkoj ponudi, što ukazuje na veliki tržišni potencijal za daljnji razvoj i istraživanja. Međutim, postoji nekoliko izazova koji prate još uvijek nedovoljnu implementaciju ovih tehnologija, uključujući pitanja sigurnosti, regulacije i interoperabilnosti. Osiguravanje povjerenja korisnika i usklađenost s propisima ključni su faktori za uspješnu integraciju blockchain i NFT tehnologije u turistički sektor.
Purpose The demand for halal food products is increasing globally. However, fraudulent activities in halal products and certification are also rising. One strategy to ensure halal integrity in the food supply chain is applying halal blockchain technology. However, to date, a few studies have assessed the factors and variables that facilitate or hinder the adoption of this technology. Thus, this study aims to assess the significant factors and variables affecting the adoption of halal blockchain technology. Design/methodology/approach A Delphi-based approach, using semi-structured interviews, was conducted with three food companies (chicken slaughterhouses, milk processing plants and frozen food companies). The cognitive best–worst method determines the significant factors and variables to prioritise halal blockchain adoption decisions. Findings The results showed that the most significant factors were coercive pressure and halal strategy. Nineteen variables were identified to establish a valid hierarchical structure for halal blockchain adoption in the Indonesian food industry. The five significant variables assessed through the best–worst method were demand, regulator, supply side, sustainability of the company’s existence and main customers. Practical implications The proposed halal blockchain decision structure can assist food companies in deciding whether to adopt the technology. Originality/value This study proposes 19 variables that establish a valid hierarchical structure of halal blockchain adoption for the Indonesian food industry.
Temeljni cilj ovog rada je bio prikaz razvoja dviju kriptovaluta tokom povijesti te njihove sličnosti, razlike i primjena. Ethereum i Litecoin se, za razliku od Bitcoin-a, obrađuju puno brže. Znatiželja je došla u tome, kako i po čemu razlikujemo kriptovalute, naspram fizičkih valuta država. Svaka valuta ima različite aspekte, poput Ethereum-a. Osim generalnih transakcija Ethera (Ξ), valute Ethereum-a, također nudi i razmjenu raznih medija, poput slika, zvuka, i ostale vrste. Današnjim razmišljanjima, kriptovalute su još daleko od prihvaćanja većinu ljudi, uglavnom zbog nesigurnosti.
This study innovatively intertwines technology adoption and e-learning by integrating blockchain and AI, offering a novel perspective on how cutting-edge technologies revolutionize learning processes. The present study investigates the factors that influence the behavioral use of learners to use blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) in e-learning. The study proposes the integrated model of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Information System (IS) success Model that include perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, system quality, information quality, and service quality as antecedents to behavioral use of blockchain and AI in e-learning. The model also examines the moderating effect of learner self-efficacy on the relationship between behavioral use and e-learning engagement and performance. The study collected data from 322 respondents and analyzed the data using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with a bootstrapping technique. The results show that the factors of TAM model and IS model have the significant and positive effects on behavior to use blockchain and AI in e-learning. Additionally, learner self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on e-learning engagement and performance, but it does not moderate the relationship between behavior to use blockchain or AI and e-learning engagement and performance. Overall, the study provides insights into the factors that influence the adoption of blockchain and AI in e-learning and offers practical implications for educators and policymakers.
U današnje vrijeme interes za kriptovalutama i blockchain tehnologijom konstantno raste, naročito nakon studenog 2021. godine kada je kripto tržište doživjelo svoj vrhunac. Bitcoin i Ethereum su lideri na kripto tržištu i imaju najvišu cijenu i tržišnu kapitalizaciju. Međutim, među njima postoje značajne razlike po pitanju sigurnosnih elemenata, načina nagrađivanja rudara, transakcijskih naknada, pa čak i stupnja negativnog ekološkog otiska. Sve njihove sličnosti i razlike identificirane su kroz sekundarno istraživanje u ovom radu. Primarnim istraživanjem putem online anketno g upitnika ispitani su stavovi i iskustva građana s Bitcoinom i Ethereumom te njihova predviđanja budućih cijena navedenih kriptovaluta. Osim toga, u istraživanju su ispitana općenita znanja građana o blockchainu i k riptovalutama te njihovi stavovi o odnosu kriptovaluta i fiat novca, utjecaju kriptovaluta na monetarnu politiku država i slično. Rezultati su pokazali da među ispitanicima vlada visoka razina svjesnosti o postojanju kriptovaluta i blockchaina, međutim, njihova količina znanja o istima je niska. Od ukupnog broja ispitanika, njih 26,5% ima kripto imovinu. Da bi došli u njezin posjed brojni su koristili vlastitu ušteđevinu, no postoji i znatan udio drugih, koji su koristili različite oblike zaduživanja. Kada kriptovalute padaju ispod cijene po kojoj su je početno platili, većina ispitanika reagira tako da kupuje dodatnu količinu iste kriptovalute, a u takvim situacijama među ispitanicima vlada srednja razina zabrinutosti. U trenutku popunjavanja anketnog upitnika kod većine ispitanika vrijednost kripto imovine je porasla ili je na jednakoj razini kao i početno ulaganje. Ispitanici B itcoin smatraju dominantnom kriptovalutom upravo zbog njegove tržišne kapitalizacije, no kod Ethereuma tokene za razvoj aplikacija i pametnih ugovora vide kao prednost pred Bitcoinom. Kao glavni nedostatak Ethereuma identificiran je visok gas fee. Ipak, kada su upitani koju od dvije kriptovalute bi u ovom trenutku kupili, većina ispitanika odabrala je Ethereum.
U svojoj osnovi, blockchain tehnologija je decentralizirani sustav čuvanja zapisa koji omogućuje sigurno pohranjivanje podataka kroz složene kriptografske metode. Kroz rad je opisano kako blockchain tehnologija djeluje te što su njeni ključni elementi, uključujući blokove, račune, transakcije, konsenzus algoritme i pametne ugovore. Opisano je kako se blockchain može koristiti za izgradnju sustava za upravljanje digitalnim identitetom. Također opisan je SSI model te njegova važnost u digitalnom identitet. Korisnici mogu pružiti verificirane informacije o sebi bez otkrivanja svih svojih podataka, što pruža visoku razinu sigurnosti i privatnosti. Nadalje, rad se bavi integracijom Web2 i Web3 tehnologija, s posebnim osvrtom na prednosti i mane takve integracije. Web2 se odnosi na trenutno dominantni model interneta, koji se temelji na centraliziranim serverima i gdje su korisnici obično konzumenti sadržaja. S druge strane, Web3 je vizija budućeg interneta koja koristi blockchain tehnologiju za stvaranje decentraliziranih aplikacija. Završni dio rada je posvećen praktičnoj primjeni teorije kroz izgradnju Express aplikacije koja komunicira s pametnim ugovorom na Ethereum mreži. Aplikacija pruža osnovne funkcionalnosti sustava upravljanja digitalnim identitetom, demonstrirajući pritom konkretne koristi i mogućnosti primjene blockchain tehnologije u stvarnom svijetu. Ovaj rad nadamo se pruža čitateljima dublje razumijevanje o mogućnostima i izazovima koje blockchain tehnologija nudi u kontekstu digitalnog identiteta.

Blockchain is a novel and disruptive technology that has the potential to transform the current international business and trade processes that rely on traditional intermediaries.It is a distributed ledger that verifies and records transactions using a peer-to-peer network over time in a sequence of blocks, secured by cryptographic functions that are complex, immutable and tamperproof.International maritime trade, which is the main mode of global transportation, expects to change its business model by adopting blockchain, which enables a decentralized architecture of international transactions without intermediaries and facilitates paperless trade.Moreover, blockchain aims to address the problems and inefficiencies that plague maritime trade.However, there are key factors that influence the adoption of blockchain in maritime trade that need to be investigated in order to successfully implement this technology in the future.This study examined the impact of blockchain technology on maritime trade and identified the factors affecting its acceptance in Iranian maritime trade using the research background, literature review and interviews with experts who were PMO managers.These factors were validated by the Delphi method and then categorized and prioritized using the theoretical framework of technology, organization, environment (TOE) and analytical hierarchy process.The results indicated that "blockchain benefits" in the "technology" dimension, "human resource capability" in the "organization" dimension and "government support and policy" in the "environment" dimension were ranked first.These findings could assist the stakeholders in Iran's maritime trade, such as ports, customs, government agencies, and transportation logistics companies, in developing strategies for the successful adoption and advancement of blockchain and enhancing their organizational competitiveness.
Blockchain tehnologija je u svom kratkom postojanju uzburkala nekoliko industrija, ponajprije financijsku. Nakon uspješne implementacije u financijskom svijetu, mnoge industrije su počele eksperimentirati s implementacijom blockchain tehnologije. Iako oglašivačka industrija još uvijek nije u potpunosti prihvatila tehnologiju zbog ograničenja poput skalabilnosti i nedostatka masovne adopcije, u budućnosti bi se to moglo promijeniti. Status digitalnog oglašavanja je ukaljan problemima kao što su rastući broj prijevara i malverzacija, opća netransparentnost u cijelom ekosustavu, manjak korisničke privatnosti, duopol Googlea i Facebooka i sve što proizlazi iz navedenog. Neki od spomenutih problema bi se mogli riješiti pomoću veće adopcije blockchain tehnologije zbog njenih ugrađenih karakteristika poput transparentnosti i nepromjenjivosti podataka, anonimnosti korisnika i decentralizacije. Međutim, sama tehnologija još uvijek nije dovoljno razrađena, niti dovoljno prihvaćena na globalnoj razini da bi ostvarila značajan utjecaj, ali njen potencijal je neosporan. Trenutno glavna primjena tehnologije u marketinškom kontekstu je takozvani NFT (eng. Non-fungible token) koji omogućava vlasništvo nad digitalnom imovinom poput slike ili audio zapisa, koncept koji do sada nije postojao. S NFT-ovima eksperimentiraju brojni veliki brendovi, a većina sudionika ispitivanja smatra da će taj trend rasti u nadolazećim godinama. Prema istraživanju, najpotentnija upotreba NFT-ova u marketingu je u domeni poboljšanja programa vrijednosti. Osim NFT-ova, značajna primjena blockchaina koja će se zasigurno odraziti na marketing i oglašavanje je metaverzum (eng. Metavers). Metaverzum je potpuno novi, virtualni svijet s neograničenim mogućnostima za kreativnost, pa tako i oglašavanje. Kao i sa samim blockchainom, mnoge velike organizacije su uložile u metaverzum zbog njegovog potencijala, ali korisničko iskustvo još uvijek nije na željenoj razini. Blockchain djeluje zaista obećavajuće u borbi protiv prijevare u oglašavanju koja bi se mogla eliminirati njegovom primjenom, međutim, da bi se do ostvarilo potrebno je da razvijemo neku vrstu digitalnih identiteta koji garantiraju da je osoba ono što tvrdi da je na internetu. Za sada, to još uvijek nije moguće. Sve u svemu, rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na uistinu velik potencijal tehnologije u digitalnom oglašavanju, ali i na značajne trenutne nedostatke. Dakle, proći će barem još 5, a vjerojatno i 10 ili više godina kako bi otkrili stvarni utjecaj ove nove tehnologije na industriju, ali i svijet općenito.
Rad ispituje glavnu hipotezu: utjecaj socio-demografskih obilježja ekonomskih agenata na ulaganje, odnosno namjeru ulaganja u kriptovalute u budućnosti. Za potrebe istraživanja glavne hipoteze postavljeno je 6 pomoćnih hipoteza koje su kroz rad testirane, a odnose se na niz socio-demografskih obilježja, a to su: spol, dob, dosadašnja najviše postignuta razina obrazovanja, razina mjesečnih primanja, stupanj financijske pismenosti ispitanika te sklonost riziku. Anketnom upitniku je putem online istraživanja pristupilo 216 ispitanika. Za testiranje pomoćnih hipoteza korišten je Chi-square test. Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazali su da socio-demografska obilježja imaju utjecaj na ulaganje ispitanika u kriptovalute i na njihovu namjeru ulaganja u budućnosti, čime se glavna hipoteza potvrđuje. Jedino pomoćna hipoteza o razini obrazovanja ispitanika kroz rad nije potvrđena čime se zaključuje da obrazovanje ispitanika nema utjecaj na ulaganje ispitanika u kriptovalute.
Tema završnog rada je utjecaj kriptovaluta na međunarodno poslovanje. Nalazimo se u digitalnom dobu, svjedoci smo velikih promjena, pa tako i onih ekonomskih. Tržište kriptovaluta cvjeta te nastavlja rasti enormnom brzinom. Kriptovalute su svakako dio naše budućnosti, iako nisu savršene i imaju svojim mana, zasigurno primjećujemo njihove prednosti pogotovo u međunarodnom poslovanju, olakšavaju prekograničnu trgovinu i smanjuju transakcijske troškove. Cilj rada je objasniti pojam i nastanak kriptovaluta te njihov utjecaj na međunarodno poslovanje. U radu su dani primjeri korištenja kriptovaluta, opisane su prednosti i nedostaci njihova korištenja u odnosu na tradicionalne financijske sustave.

Recent developments, including the rebranding of Facebook to Meta, have led to large-scale media attention on the phenomenon of the Metaverse. Although not being a new phenomenon in Information Systems (IS) research, many intricacies in virtual worlds remain unexplored. In particular , prior research has directed attention to users‘ lack of ownership rights, creating tension between the creator and user. To solve this tension, we argue that blockchain technology can potentially help to structure ownership rights. Therefore, our research explores a blockchain-based Metaverse through the socio-technical system lens. Our study highlights that, in the underlying case, the use of blockchain technology goes beyond the application of Non- Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and can also be found in the general organizational structure, blurring the boundaries of existing stakeholders. Our work contributes to research by providing a gaze into blockchain-based Metaverses and highlighting the potential application and benefit of the technology in virtual worlds.

Fishery and aquaculture sectors use blockchains to enhance traceability and transparency in value chains and to fight illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing. The aim of this paper is to provide the current status and future prospects of blockchain application in worldwide fisheries and aquaculture. A literature review was conducted using blockchain and global value chain frameworks. Results indicate that generally, the use of blockchain is vertically driven by the requirements of markets and business competitiveness. The majority of the blockchain use cases are for traceability and storytelling, and to a lesser extent for payments or incentives. Moreover, there has been limited use cases of blockchain at horizontal level, such as decentralized finance (de-fi), enabling fishers to gain capital access and entering global markets. Overall, enhancing the adoption of blockchain should address suitability, incentives, and trust factors in using blockchain. As future prospects, projects in fishery and aquaculture could better utilize the full potential of blockchains by (1) incorporating financing, capital, and insurance through de-fi solutions, (2) providing tangible incentives, and (3) using automation such as Internet-of-Things (IoT) in data collection to improve quality and trust in data.
