Application of Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchain) To the Farming Sector

Naveen Ghorpade, Aayush Poudel, Mangala Patil, William Deepan R H

Blockchain to everyone seems to comprehend, a rapidly growing business, and it is safe to assume that it has already had an effect on related sectors like banking and cryptocurrency. The success of this endeavor will go a long way toward guaranteeing blockchain technology's widespread adoption in the farming/agricultural sector. However, it is our responsibility to educate and train farmers in this regard, since this is likely to be one of the developing team's most time-consuming challenges.Once our work is up and running, clients will be able to purchase things at fair prices, and we will be able to quickly cut out the middleman who is making a profit just by delivering or selling the goods. The lending institution that this initiative is based on will allow farmers to borrow money at a reduced interest rate. All analyses are, thus, based on the most recent data and evidence at this time. In order to have a true image of the advantages of blockchain technology in agriculture/farming company, more study has to be done on large-scale data processing and established blockchain infrastructure. This article aims to work on a website that will allow farmers to enter information about their operations and produce, while also allowing retailers to get the goods they need for their stores or homes at competitive prices. By eliminating the need for middlemen, the use of this technology will cut out the people who are just interested in making money off of the sale of goods.

Supply Chain Management Serious Game Using Blockchain Smart Contract

Astrid Novita Putri, Mochamad Hariadi, Reza Fuad Rachmadi

Smart contracts and Blockchain are necessary for transactions in supply chain management. A smart contract is an agreement in the form of a cryptographic code digitally signed by the actors. This technology holds the data transaction transparently and securely between the actors. The actors may benefit without intermediaries involved in the transaction. Supply chain management will be easily tracked by decentralized data sharing. Supply chain management involves transactions in agricultural sectors such as farmers, Village Cooperatives units, distributors, and consumers. The Cooperative is a party that buys goods from farmers and sells them to consumers. A smart contract is a digital signature that can access the system in transactions. The system records log activities that show the origin of transactions. All actors can see the transaction of agricultural products stored in the blockchain ledger in the Blockchain. This paper discusses blockchain-based smart contracts scenario for supply chain management that is simulated and implemented in the Serious Game. The Game is developed using Unity 3D Development Platform, programming language contract using Solidity, Moralis as Web3 Development Platform and dApp as backend blockchain, Network Environment Polygon Ethereum, and Database that is Redis Enterprise, MongoDB Compass, and Mumbai Testnet.

Understanding Blockchain Technology: How It Works and What It Can Do

Barnali Gupta

Blockchain is a chain of blocks that are connected together and are continuously growing by storing transactions on the blocks. This platform uses a decentralized approach that allows the information to be distributed and that each piece of distributed information or commonly known as data have shared ownership. Blockchains holds batches of transactions that are hashed thus providing them security and they are managed by peer-to-peer networks. Blockchain, an information administration method, has the potential to encourage responsibility and openness. In a blockchain, each user of the computer network can access the same copy of the transaction ledger. The blockchain technology has the potential to handle various security attacks as it can eliminate the need of the centralized authority to perform various operations. In the blockchain technology, a number of users participate in transaction verification and validation.

CRYPTOCURRENCY PRICE VOLATILITY ANALYSIS ON BITCOIN AND ALTCOINS BEFORE AND DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN INDONESIA

Hanum Dyah Wulandari

The emergence of COVID-19 in December 2019 in China, until it spread to Indonesia in early March 2020 was designated as the center of the transmission of COVID-19. It negatively impacted the financial sector and caused cryptocurrency volatility to increase significantly. Therefore, the purpose of this study is essential to determine the volatility of cryptocurrencies and the method of estimating the price of cryptocurrencies. This shows that cryptocurrency fluctuations are unstable and irregular compared to equities, so the cryptocurrency market is more risky and difficult to predict during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, the analytical tools were quantitative and descriptive using the ARIMA and GARCH time series models for time series forecasting. The secondary data were used to determine the existence of volatility. Thus, ARCH Effect is the best model to estimate the volatility price of a cryptocurrency. As a result of forecasting, both bitcoin and altcoins tend to the uptrend.

Digital Degree Issuing and Verification Using Blockchain

Subhajit Halder, Himanshu Kumar, Shantanu Lavu, S R Reeja

Blockchain is a distributed, secure, and quick shared immutable ledger. They are transparent, non-modifiable, and technically impenetrable. Any asset may be tracked and recorded using blockchain, which lowers risk. More effectively than other existing systems, blockchain can address current problems. We may use it to secure the existing academic model and change it. As a result, there is a lot of potential for this technology to lead to numerous advancements. One of the most crucial documents for students to have is an academic certificate, which is granted by educational institutions, when applying for jobs, taking tests, applying for higher education, etc. There are several opportunities to produce false academic certifications because the current system for awarding certificates is not at all effectively auditable. The distributed ledger characteristic of the blockchain technology can be used to combat the forged and fake certificates in order to resolve this issue. Our decentralised blockchain application aims to correct this. Since it would be connected to our certificate, we will also use the Aadhar card to increase its authenticity. They will be kept on distributed file systems called IPFS servers.

NON FUNGIBLE TOKEN SEBAGAI ASET DIGITAL DALAM PANDANGAN FIQH MUAMALAH

Shofa Robbani, Ifa Khoiria Ningrum

The phenomenon of buying and selling online continues to grow, especially in 2022, when Ghozali shocked the Indonesian people by selling 933 non-fungible token digital works for $1.5 billion on the OpenSea Online Market. But not all people respond, because everyone can sell other people's art, sell images that contain pornography, and commit fraud under the guise of investment. In Sharia economic law, on the other hand, the element of fraud and the sale of something that does not belong to him are prohibited. The mechanism of buying and selling non-fungible tokens on the OpenSea online market is discussed in this study, as well as how the law is based on Islamic economics. This type of research uses a qualitative approach by seeking direct data from parties involved in buying and selling non-fungible tokens on the Opensea online marketplaces, from journals, articles, books, and other sources. The theory of "al-mal" and "al-bai' is used to analyze this research using a qualitative deductive method. The results of the research show three mechanisms in the practice of buying and selling non-fungible tokens on the Opensea online marketplace, which include the creation, sale, and purchase of digital artwork, and most of them are carried out on the Ethereum and Polygon blockchain platforms. According to sharia economic law, when buying and selling non-fungible tokens on the Opensea online market is analyzed using the mall theory, the majority of Ulama argue that non-fungible tokens can be classified as malls, while some groups of followers of Imam Hanafi do not justify non-fungible tokens as malls because of their non-concrete nature. Meanwhile, if it is captured using the "bai' theory, the practice of buying and selling non-fungible tokens is not covered by sharia because, in practice, people can easily sell other people's digital artwork, sell images that contain pornographic elements, and are very vulnerable to involvement in non-fungible token sale scams such as forgery of digital artwork descriptions and investment scams. As for those who can avoid all these negative elements, then they are returned to the original law of bai', namely mubah.

A real time secured medical management system based on blockchain and internet of things

Sharda Tiwari, Namrata Dhanda, H. Dev

Nowadays Electronic Health Care System is growing to a large extent. As data retrieve from IoT devices, that data is needed to store in a database as the different patients have different data. Due to a lack of intrinsic security safeguards, the Internet of Things is prone to privacy and security breaches. The information gathered from IoT devices is mostly saved in a database This data is very important for a particular patient. If this data is altered by any intruder, then the doctor cannot find the actual problem of the patient and also cannot give the patient proper treatment, as a result, it causes great harm to the patient. As a result, a security mechanism for the data contained in the database is required. Blockchain technology will help a lot in this situation. We make an IoT-based prototype that uses Blockchain technology to get rid of this anonymous data access, in the common word patient's data are private through this system.

Blockchain Based Payment Method for Secure Transactions

Harshad Hakke, Abhishek Bharati, Akshay Ranit, S R Khonde

Abstract: Blockchain is a type of distributed ledger that sits on the internet for recording transaction and maintaining a permanent and verifiable record-set of information. Token was created to reduce the government's control over cross-border transactions and to speed up the transaction process by removing the need for third-party intermediaries, Blockchain, on the other hand, provides a secure environment that token needs for peer-to-peer transactions. In other words, blockchain acts as bitcoin's ledger and maintains all the transactions of token. Token has a high degree of anonymity. Though the transactions are visible, it is close to impossible to identify the user. It is the purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double spending or high security. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem

Prajwal Shiwal, Dhruv Morey, Harshad Shivankar, Suraj Jagtap · 5 authors

Abstract: Voting is a primary right of every citizen living ina country. Traditional methods used for voting includes paper ballot system, EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines), etc. which are still followed and trusted by every voter or citizen blindly. These voting systems can have ambiguity as the data is maintainedunder a centralized environment whether it is counting the paper ballots or storing the vote caste on a computer server. Thisuse of a centralized database for the voting system has some security issues such as Data modification through the third party in the network due to the use of the central database systemas well as the result of the voting is not shown in real-time, or manipulation with the data which can hamper the result and thus have an impact on not only system integrity but also lose faith in democracy, government, nation, etc. The voting methods used in an election should be legal, accurate, safe, and convenient.

Implementation of Accounting Standards for Cryptocurrency Companies in Indonesia

Metodius France Marjun Janggur, Trinandari Prasetyo Nugrahanti

The development of number of cryptocurrency startups around the world, including in Indonesia, is increasing every year, demanding business people to provide financial services by accepting the presence of cryptocurrency technology directly in the real world. The purpose of this study is to explore the application of the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) adopting International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on cryptocurrency companies at the Indonesian National Indodax Company (Bitcoin Indonesia). This research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods using interview and observation techniques. The results show that the Indodax Company (Bitcoin Indonesia) uses IAS 2 inventory because the company's core business is in brokerage, which measures cryptocurrency inventory recorded at fair value after deducting costs to sell and is recognized in the income statement and reported in the Available for sale financial asset account. At the same time, the entity applies IAS 38 intangible assets in the measurement, valuation, and presentation of financial statements that refer to computer software and internet domains, not cryptocurrency assets in the form of coins and tokens. In addition, entities that measure and value cryptocurrency assets (cash and tokens) using financial instruments IFRS 9 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement are calculated and recorded as financial assets at fair value through profit or loss (FVTPL).

Integrating Blockchain for Health Insurance in Indonesia with Hash Authentication

Erwin Sutanto, Rahmat Mulyana, Franky Chandra Satria Arisgraha, Guillermo Escrivá-Escrivà

The use of blockchain has received great attention in its adoption as a financial instrument in cryptocurrencies. This phenomenon needs to be considered in the sense not only as a form of financial transactions but also in other fields such as health, which is also a challenge for modern society. In addition, several government policies have also supported the provision of health services as a form of improving people’s living standards in the form of insurance. In this study, we try to design the system by using UML diagram and simulate the use of DApps offered by the Vexanium Ecosystem. For example, three basic activities between patients, doctors, and insurance will be simulated in the form of the transaction ledger. This method allows us to speed up the authentication process that previously needed to be performed for a long time with bureaucracy becoming the rule in smart contracts in a matter of minutes. The evaluation of this method will then be compared with eight existing blockchain projects. The result in healthcare processes is cost savings through increased automation, speed, standardization, and efficiency. All of this can be a preliminary analysis of its application in Indonesia, particularly related to the authentication and recording of medical records.
