Blockchain Based Drug Supply-Chain Management System

Growing concerns about drug safety have placed greater emphasis on increasing transparency and accountability in the drug supply chain. This is due to the highly regulated nature of the drug and the potential risks associated with any issues arising in the supply chain such as contamination or counterfeiting. To improve drug safety and meet regulatory requirements, pharmaceutical companies have implemented traceability platforms based on centralized or distributed databases. Centralized platforms rely on a single database managed by a central authority, making it easier to track products through the supply chain and identify any issues. In contrast, distributed platforms consist of multiple databases connected through a network, which promotes transparency and collaboration and allows participants to maintain control over their data. Pharmaceutical companies can use non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as a way to increase traceability and accountability in their supply chain. NFTs are unique digital assets that can be used to represent physical goods or assets. Using NFT, pharmaceutical companies can create a secure and immutable record of a drug product’s journey through the supply chain, which can be easily accessed and verified by all stakeholders. The choice between these platforms depends on a company’s specific needs, but both aim to increase supply chain transparency and improve drug safety.By implementing traceability, systems based on centralized or distributed databases and potentially incorporating NFT technology, to quickly identify and isolate any affected product and prevent it from reaching patients, increasing accountability and trust in the pharmaceutical industry and ultimately improving medicine and also Security.

Tokenomic Model of Friend.Tech Social Platform: A Data-driven Analysis

The Web3 social platform Friend.Tech, launched in August 2023, enables users to tokenize and trade their social influence. While quickly attracted 139 thousand users in one month, Friend.Tech’s economic model and business strategies face significant challenges. After conducting a qualitative analysis of this platform, we collected and analyzed relevant on-chain data, and found that the platform’s economic model generates early substantial returns for key opinion leaders (KOLs) but also restricts community size and stable earning potential, with 99.4% of accounts having fewer than 100 followers. Numerous speculative users were attracted to the platform, but only 22.1% of speculative returns were positive, and the trading frequency rapidly declined, with the average token holding period exceeding four days. The reliance on new users, combined with an inevitable decline in platform activity, indicates a less optimistic outlook for the sustainability of this economic model. The platform demonstrates a prominent level of transitivity and tighter social connections compared to existing social platforms. In conclusion, while Friend.Tech appears economically unsustainable, its social model exhibits unique characteristics and serves as a remarkable exploration for the development of Web3.

Digital Twins and Its Security Issues and Implications

A digital twin is a digital or virtual copy of physical assets or products. It has the virtual and real world by collecting real-time data from the sensors which are installed in the devices. The collected data is either locally decentralized or centrally stored in cloud. Then the data is evaluated and simulated in virtual copy of the assets. After revising the information from stimulation the parameters are applied to real assets and we can predict current and future conditions in both design and operational environment. Also these are the next big thing in fourth industrial revolution for the development of new products and process. Because of vast amount of data used and the risk this poses to sensitive system data. To overcome these. The key enabling technology for digital twins data analytics and IoT must follow the updated security policies, and data sharing based on Distributed Ledger Technology can help to overcome the challenges in sharing data.

Integrating explainable artificial intelligence and blockchain to smart agriculture: Research prospects for decision making and improved security

Food safety hazards can be discovered and avoided using XAI and blockchain technology. The immutable and transparent ledger of blockchain technology can be used to maintain track of perishable food items, allowing for more rapid and precise detection of contamination and immediate removal from shelves. Using blockchain technology, smart agriculture can streamline the supply chain by connecting farmers directly with their customers. As a result, community members may be more confident in meeting their own dietary needs. Combining XAI, blockchain, and smart agriculture has far-reaching societal and economic implications. More efficiency, openness, and sustainability in the food chain might benefit farmers, consumers, and the world. This study provides a detailed bibliometric overview and visualization of integrating two prominent and promising technologies, explainable AI and Blockchain, into Smart Agriculture. In this study, the author implemented analysis in four phases, and for each phase, the author chose different strings, which provided different analysis results. 2479 articles are taken for “smart agriculture”, 103 articles for “Smart agriculture and blockchain”, 37 articles for “blockchain and explainable,” and finally, seven articles for “smart agriculture and explainable AI”. In this study, the mapping program VOSviewer is used for Network analysis. This study uses the co-occurrence, co-citation, and bibliographic coupling employed in VOSviewer to uncover significant focus areas and prominent authors and publications. By using a variety of publications, research was conducted on vital topics for this integration; as a consequence, influence and collaborations began to take place, ultimately leading to development.

The TAO of Blockchain Intelligence for Intelligent Web 3.0

We are in an exciting new intelligent era where various Web 3.0 systems emerge and flourish. [1]–[3]. In this new epoch, the collaboration of data and knowledge, humans and machines, actual and virtual worlds is undergoing an unprecedented diversification and community-driven transformation, unveiling an open future full of boundless possibilities. However, the value of dispersed data extends far beyond passive storage and application. Instead, it has become an incentive and driving force that connects different workers in different worlds, forming a more powerful network of knowledge. No longer monopolized by a select few organizations or companies, the community-driven data sharing and exchange enable every individual to participate and contribute [4]–[6]. The diversification, sharing and integration of data create numerous avenues for learning, exploration, and innovation.

Web3 Meets AI Marketplace: Exploring Opportunities, Analyzing Challenges, and Suggesting Solutions

Web3 and AI have been among the most discussed fields over the recent years, with substantial hype surrounding each field's potential to transform the world as we know it. However, as the hype settles, it's evident that neither AI nor Web3 can address all challenges independently. Consequently, the intersection of AI and Web3 is gaining increased attention, emerging as a new field with the potential to address the limitations of each. In this article, we will focus on the integration of web3 and the AI marketplace, where AI services and products can be provided in a decentralized manner (DeAI). A comprehensive review is provided by summarizing the opportunities and challenges on this topic. Additionally, we offer analyses and solutions to address these challenges. We've developed a framework that lets users pay with any kind of cryptocurrency to get AI services. Additionally, they can also enjoy AI services for free on our platform by simply locking up their assets temporarily in the protocol. This unique approach is a first in the industry. Before this, offering free AI services in the web3 community wasn't possible. Our solution opens up exciting opportunities for the AI marketplace in the web3 space to grow and be widely adopted.

13 The Fashion Product Passport: In Search of the “Killer App”

A “killer app” denotes any computer programme or software that is so essential or desirable that it demonstrates the fundamental worth of a larger technology. It is portrayed as virtually indispensable or vastly superior to competing products. Supply chain transparency (SCT) has long been ripe for disruption and in need of such a technological solution. Several applications have appeared on the market - but few have coalesced the complex tasks required for full transparency. To date, there is no “killer app” for fashion supply chain transparency. Applications that facilitate SCT including tracking and tracing mechanisms as well as data repository and distributed ledger systems like blockchain are complex and daunting for most fashion businesses. Industry powerplays and lack of trust are blocking the universal adoption of current solutions. This chapter aims to explore how SCT can be adopted by firms and facilitated at scale. We advance current knowledge of digital technology applications for SCT through the theoretical lens of organisational culture to decipher how start-ups are developing technology for adoption by fashion firms. Using a single case study methodology, we analysed one hybrid start-up (fashion and technology firm) that has developed and implemented advanced digital technology initiatives at scale. From our case analysis, we provide insights into the requirements to build a digital ecosystem - one with which most firms are not yet familiar. We discuss key implications for theory and practise, based on our findings.

Digital Transformation Management of Supply Chain Firms Based on Big Data from DeFi Social Media Profiles

Emerging technologies in the digital context can favor industrial sector firms in their aim to improve their performance. Digitalization is mainly expressed through the utilization of big data that originate from various sources. Blockchain technology has led to the extended adoption of capitalization of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) services, such as cryptocurrency trade platforms. Supply chain firms, in their quest to exploit any means and collaborations available to promote their services, could place advertisements on DeFi’s social media profiles to boost their financial performance. Social media analytics, as a part of the big data family, are an emerging tool for promoting a firm’s digital transformation, based on the plethora of customer behavioral data they provide. This study aims to examine whether the social media analytics of DeFi platforms are capable of affecting their website visibility, as well as the financial performance of supply chain firms. To do so, the authors collected data from the social media profiles of the most-known DeFi platforms and web analytics from the most significant supply chain firms’ websites. For this purpose, proper statistical analysis, Fuzzy Cognitive Mapping, Hybrid Modeling, and Cognitive Neuromarketing models were adopted. Throughout the present research, it has been discerned that from an increase in the social media analytics of DeFi platforms, their website visibility increases, while the organic and paid traffic costs of supply chain firms decrease. Supply chain firms’ website customers tend to increase at the same time.

Blockchain-based certification of research outputs and academic achievements: A case of scientific conference

We consider the problem of researcher output identification and its verification.Nowadays, researcher outputs verification is a challenging problem faced by institutions that want, for example, employ such a researcher.Usually, there is no verification, and the aforementioned institutions rely on trust that the received documents are authentic.Our solution is a based on blockchain technology, a public ledger with smart contracts, that is the root of emerging web3.We use the public wallet address as the researcher identification number and the wallet as the store of all researcher credentials.This paper presents ERC-721 standard-based solution and addresses the conference certification case.The solution proposed in this paper addresses two challenges that arise in collecting and verifying data on research output for managing, monitoring, and evaluating purposes.We show that the public wallet address can be successfully used as the researcher identification number, and the wallet can be used as a vault of all the researcher credentials.

Semantics-Based, Automated Preparation of Exploratory Data Analysis for Complex Systems

Visual Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) is a key step in data analysis – however, after decades of research, recommending visualizations and their sequences for a human analyst in an exploration-supporting, efficient and repeatable way is still not a solved problem. However, EDA in the empirical assessment of performance and dependability of complex IT systems has key differences from the general setting: system structure and behavior have at least partial specifications, and the EDA process tends to follow established engineering processes (e.g., for diagnosis). Utilizing these differences, in this paper, we propose a novel, semantically driven approach for rapidly setting up analytic notebooks for the IT performance and dependability EDA of complex systems. An ontology-based knowledge base connects observed and inferred operational data with operational semantics and deployment topology; rule-based inference on the knowledge base creates a model of EDA notebook structure and plot recommendations. The model is automatically translated to notebook code and connected to the input data. We also present an open, end-to-end proof of concept implementation of the approach for the transaction duration analysis of Hyper-ledger Fabric, a complex, cross-organizational distributed ledger platform.

Management-Oriented Operating Systems: Harnessing the Power of DAOs and Foundation Models

This paper presents Management-Oriented Operating Systems (M2OS) that leverages the power of parallel intelligence theory, Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and foundation models to revolutionize the manner of management in Cyber-Physical-Social Systems (CPSS). The parallel architecture on M2OS is proposed, including the parallel interactive actual M2OS and artificial M2OS. Among them, the artificial M2OSs provide digital infrastructures for organizations to operate, collaborate, and make decisions in the virtual space, and conduct computational experiments to evaluate management decisions and predict future states of the actual M2OS. Through parallel execution and closed-loop feedback between the artificial and actual M2OSs, the management and control, experimentation and evaluation, as well as learning and training of the actual M2OS can be realized. Moreover, the functional layers of M2OS, including the infrastructure layer, data layer, scenario layer, modeling layer, decision layer, and application layer, are discussed. These layers work together to support the intelligent, autonomous, collaborative, and adaptive nature of the M2OS, and facilitate data-driven decision-making, optimize business operations, and empower managers with real-time actionable insights. The proposed M2OS paradigm has great potential to transform the management paradigm and opens up new possibilities for intelligent and collaborative decision-making.
