Evolusi Digital Akad Musyarakah: Tinjauan Literatur terhadap Mitigasi Risiko Moral Hazard dalam Crowdfunding Syariah

Rusandry, Agatha Christy Situru, Zandy Pratama Zain, Syahrial Maulana

The digital transformation of Islamic finance encourages the evolution of musharakah contracts into a technology-based crowdfunding ecosystem. However, this change also presents a more complex moral hazard risk due to the limitations of direct supervision. This research aims to synthesize the scientific literature for the period 2015-2025 in order to map the digital evolution of musharakah contracts and formulate a moral hazard risk mitigation framework that is adaptive to the characteristics of sharia crowdfunding platforms. The study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a descriptive-analytical approach across 15 reputable scientific articles. The findings show that the moral hazard in sharia crowdfunding stems from information asymmetry, weaknesses in digital financial reporting, and limited platform oversight capacity, which collectively weakens the integrity of profit-sharing-based contracts. Effective mitigation requires the integration of four dimensions, namely algorithmic technology such as blockchain and smart contracts, strengthening digital sharia supervisory institutions, updating specific OJK regulations, and increasing the capacity of Islamic financial literacy, which together form the concept of Algorithmic Sharia Governance as a novelty in this study.

Block chain Technology and Future of External Auditing in Nigeria

Ekwunife Ebele. N (Ph.D)

The main objective of this study was to examine the effect of blockchain technology on future of external auditing in Nigeria. Decentralized network and consensus mechanism were the proxies for blockchain technology. Thus, two hypotheses were formulated to guide the investigation and the statistical test of parameter estimates was conducted using least squares regression model operated with E-Views.12. Survey design was adopted and data for the study was obtained through the use of e-questionnaire survey sent to the various Staff WhatsApp Group Platform of the selected audit firms in Anambra State Nigeria. The results of the study reveal that the use of decentralized network has positive and significant effect on the future of external auditing in Nigeria at 1% level of significance. Also, the use of consensus mechanism in auditing has positive and significant effect on the future of external auditing in Nigeria at 5% significant level. Based on this, the study concludes that blockchain technology ensure the future of external auditing in Nigeria. In lieu of the findings of the study, the study recommends for the continual use of decentralized network in auditing as the future of external auditing lies on it. Also, the use of consensus mechanism should also be encouraged as it ensures accuracy and reliability in audit reporting.

The Effect of Blockchain Technology Adoption and Corporate Transparency on Firm Value with Audit Quality as a Moderating Variable (in State-Owned Enterprises Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2021-2025)

Sofiatin Nur Afifah, Isnaini Rosyida, Webbyani Kartika Sari

This study aims to analyze the effect of Blockchain technology adoption and corporate transparency on firm value, with audit quality as a moderating variable, in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2025 period. The study used a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from annual reports and company financial statements. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 13 SOEs with a total of 65 observations. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method through SmartPLS. The results showed that Blockchain technology adoption had a positive and significant effect on firm value (β = 0.287; t = 2.806; p = 0.006), while corporate transparency had no significant effect on firm value (β = 0.020; t = 0.180; p = 0.857). Audit quality also has a positive and significant effect on firm value (β = 0.490; t = 8.187; p < 0.001). As a moderating variable, audit quality is proven to strengthen the influence of Blockchain technology adoption on firm value (β = 0.195; t = 2.744; p = 0.007), but is unable to moderate the relationship between corporate transparency and firm value (β = -0.068; t = 0.955; p = 0.341). These findings indicate that Blockchain implementation supported by high audit quality can increase investor confidence and firm value, while corporate transparency has not been a major factor in increasing firm value in SOEs.

How Financial Literacy Moderate The Herding Behavior, Social Media, and FOMO to Investment Decision Crypto in Gen Z

Riyan Hidayat, Mustaruddin Mustaruddin, Mochammad Ridwan Ristyawan, Giriati Giriati · 5 authors

The rapid increase in cryptocurrency adoption among Generation Z in Indonesia has raised concerns regarding investment decision-making in highly volatile digital asset markets. This study examines the influence of herding behavior, social media exposure, and fear of missing out (FOMO) on cryptocurrency investment decisions, with financial literacy as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data from 200 Generation Z cryptocurrency investors in Pontianak City. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that herding behavior and social media significantly influence investment decisions. Fear of missing out also affects investor decision-making. Financial literacy moderates the relationship between herding behavior and investment decisions as well as between social media and investment decisions, but does not moderate the relationship between FOMO and investment decisions. These findings indicate that cryptocurrency investment decisions among Generation Z are influenced by social interactions and emotional biases.

Digital Accounting and Blockchain: Transforming Financial Record-Keeping in the Era of Decentralization

Muhammad Hasyim Ashari

The convergence of digital accounting and blockchain technology represents one of the most consequential transformations in contemporary financial management. This study conducts a systematic literature review to examine how blockchain technology reshapes financial record-keeping, transparency, auditability, and accountability in the era of decentralization. Drawing from 25 peer-reviewed publications spanning 2021 to 2026, this research synthesizes empirical findings and theoretical frameworks concerning the adoption, implementation, and outcomes of blockchain-based accounting systems. The review identifies four principal dimensions of transformation: (1) immutable ledger infrastructure that eliminates retrospective manipulation of financial data; (2) smart contract automation that reduces human error and accelerates financial closing cycles; (3) distributed ledger technology (DLT) integration with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and accounting information systems (AIS); and (4) real-time financial reporting that enhances stakeholder decision-making. This paper further explores persistent challenges, including regulatory ambiguity, interoperability limitations, energy consumption concerns, and the skills gap among accounting professionals. The novelty of this study lies in its integration of ESG reporting dimensions and decentralized governance implications into the blockchain-accounting nexus, areas insufficiently addressed in prior reviews. Findings indicate that blockchain adoption can reduce financial fraud, improve audit efficiency by up to 40%, and enable continuous real-time reporting, fundamentally altering the role of the accountant in a digitally decentralized economy.

Bitcoin Risk Perception and Investment Behavior: The Role of Literacy and Trust

I Made Ardita, Ni Made Suci, Fridayana Yudiatmaja

This study aims to examine the effect of Bitcoin risk perception on stock investment decisions by considering the mediating roles of financial literacy and investor trust. The rapid development of digital financial technology, particularly cryptocurrencies, has introduced new dimensions of risk that influence investor behavior across financial instruments. This research adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, involving 120 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that Bitcoin risk perception has a positive and significant effect on financial literacy, investor trust, and stock investment decisions. Furthermore, financial literacy and investor trust significantly influence stock investment decisions and serve as partial mediators in the relationship between Bitcoin risk perception and investment decisions. These findings suggest that higher awareness of cryptocurrency risk encourages individuals to enhance their financial understanding and develop rational trust, ultimately leading to more informed investment decisions in the stock market. This study contributes to the integration of behavioral finance and financial technology by highlighting the indirect mechanisms through which risk perception shapes investment behavior. Practically, the results emphasize the importance of financial education and transparent information in improving investor decision-making in the digital era.

Implementasi Smart Contract Ethereum dengan Pendekatan Hybrid untuk Verifikasi Dokumen dan Transparansi pada Sistem Crowdfunding Beasiswa

Rawim Puja Aviola, Geovanne Farell, Syafrijon Syafrijon, Randi Proska Sandra

This study aims to implement an Ethereum smart contract using a hybrid approach to strengthen document verification and transparency in a scholarship crowdfunding system. The main problem addressed is the limited public trust in digital education donation platforms when eligibility documents, verification status, and fund realization records are controlled only through a centralized database. The study applied a software development method based on the prototype model, consisting of communication, quick planning, quick design modeling, prototype construction, and delivery with feedback evaluation. The prototype was developed using Next.js, SQLite, Prisma ORM, Solidity, Ethers.js, MetaMask, and the Ethereum Sepolia Testnet. The resulting design demonstrates that the hybrid architecture can separate physical document storage in an off-chain layer from integrity proof recording in an on-chain layer. The ScholarshipRegistry smart contract records document hashes, verification status, verifier wallet addresses, timestamps, and donation amount logs without using cryptocurrency as the payment instrument. The public audit feature enables donors and the public to compare document hashes, monitor disbursement evidence, and submit reports on suspected irregularities. Critically, blockchain improves the integrity of audit trails, but it does not automatically verify the substantive truth of uploaded documents; therefore, administrative validation, role-based access control, and participatory reporting remain necessary. This study contributes a transparent, cost-efficient, and auditable model for scholarship crowdfunding systems.

The Impact Of Financial Literacy On Investment Behaviour Among Teenagers

Ruhaani Lachhwani

This research paper provides an exhaustive and multi-dimensional analysis of the relationship between financial literacy and the investment behaviors of the teenage demographic (ages 13–19). In the contemporary era, characterized by the "fintech revolution" and the ubiquitous nature of digital assets, traditional barriers to entry in financial markets have largely disintegrated. Consequently, adolescents are now engaging with highly complex and volatile financial instruments, including fractional equities, cryptocurrencies, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), often before they have attained a basic understanding of economic principles. This study identifies a critical "literacy-participation gap" that exposes young investors to unprecedented risks. Utilizing a qualitative-descriptive meta-synthesis, the paper integrates perspectives from behavioral economics, social learning theory, and adolescent neurobiology to evaluate how varying levels of financial knowledge influence risk perception, asset selection, and long-term financial health. The findings suggest that while high levels of financial literacy correlate with diversified portfolios and risk-mitigation strategies, the "gamified" architecture of modern trading platforms and the influence of social media "finfluencers" often override rational decisionmaking processes. The paper concludes with an urgent call for a paradigm shift in financial pedagogy, advocating for the integration of digital media literacy and behavioral psychology into standard secondary education to foster a more resilient generation of investors.

Curbing Fraudulent Activities in Deposit Money Banks: The role of Blockchain Technology in Nigeria

Adegboyega Afolabi, Modupe M. Adesemowo, Olayemi O. Amosun, M. Olamide Otuyelu · 6 authors

As digital intermediation accelerates, Nigerian deposit money banks (DMBs) confront rising cyber-enabled fraud since the launch of Bitcoin in 2009, despite ongoing reforms. Most blockchain research still centres on cryptocurrencies, with relatively few studies examining their applications in other industries. This study investigates whether blockchain technology (smart contracts, permissioned distributed ledgers, and secure digital wallets) is associated with lower fraud in Nigerian DMBs.Using survey data from 120 bankers across five institutions spanning international, national, and regional licenses, we estimate Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) models relating each BCT dimension, and a composite index, to two outcomes: spread of fraud (SOF) and internet fraud activities (IFA). Reliability analysis shows strong internal consistency (α = 0.75–0.91). Models include robustness checks for multicollinearity and specification. Results indicate that higher perceived deployment of smart contracts, distributed ledger, and digital wallet capabilities is negatively and significantly associated with SOF and IFA; a composite BCT index positively predicts overall fraud-reduction assessments. These findings align with recent sectoral evidence that blockchain adoption lowers fraud-related costs and enhances transaction integrity in banking. Given Nigeria’s elevated incidence of electronic fraud in retail payments, the practical implication is that embedding programmable controls, tamper-evident shared records, and cryptographic authentication can harden high-risk processes. We recommend that regulators and DMBs advance permissioned BCT pilots integrated with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) workflows, strengthen reporting standards, and build human-capital readiness. Beyond cryptocurrency, enterprise-grade BCT offers credible pathways to reduce fraud externalities and improve operational resilience in Nigeria’s banking sector. Keywords: Blockchain; Smart contracts; Distributed ledger; Digital wallet; Bank fraud; Nigeria.

From transparency to accountability: Determinants of village financial governance

Syamsul, Nurlailah, Nurhadi

This study examines the determinants of transparency and accountability in village financial management, focusing on the roles of village facilitator competence, village government commitment, and oversight by the Village Consultative Body (BPD). Grounded in good governance and principal–agent theory, the study addresses persistent governance challenges at the village level, where substantial public funds are managed amid limited administrative capacity and uneven institutional oversight. Using a quantitative design, primary data were collected through a structured survey administered to 510 respondents from 85 villages in Donggala and Sigi Regencies, Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), enabling simultaneous testing of direct and mediating relationships among governance variables. The results show that village facilitator competence, village government commitment, and BPD oversight each have significant positive effects on financial transparency and accountability. Importantly, transparency plays a central mediating role, indicating that the effects of competence, commitment, and oversight on accountability are largely transmitted through improved information disclosure. These findings confirm that accountability in village financial management is difficult to achieve without adequate transparency mechanisms that reduce information asymmetry between village governments and the community. Theoretically, this study extends the application of good governance and principal–agent theory to the village governance context by empirically validating transparency as a key governance mechanism linking institutional factors to accountability outcomes. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of strengthening facilitator capacity, fostering integrity-driven leadership commitment, and enhancing the effectiveness of BPD supervision as integrated strategies to improve village financial governance. By providing evidence from a large-sample empirical study, this research offers insights for policymakers and practitioners seeking to promote transparent and accountable village finance management in decentralized governance systems.

Pengaruh Ekonomi Bitcoin terhadap Jumlah Uang Beredar di Indonesia dengan Volatilitas Bitcoin sebagai Variabel Intervening

Riyan Yusuf Octafia, Amalia Nur Chasanah, Usman Usman, Bara Zaretta

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Bitcoin economy on the money supply (M1) in Indonesia, with Bitcoin volatility as an intervening variable. Using a quantitative approach, the data consists of 36 monthly time-series observations from 2022 to 2024. Data analysis techniques include regression analysis adjusted with the Prais-Winsten method to address autocorrelation issues, the Sobel test for mediation analysis, and path analysis. The results indicate that the Bitcoin economy has a direct, positive, and significant effect on the money supply (M1) in Indonesia. However, the Bitcoin economy was found to have a negative and non-significant effect on Bitcoin volatility. Similarly, Bitcoin volatility exerts a negative but non-significant influence on the money supply (M1). The Sobel test results prove that Bitcoin volatility does not function as an intervening variable mediating the relationship between the Bitcoin economy and the money supply (M1). These findings suggest that while the expansion of the Bitcoin ecosystem encourages an increase in domestic monetary liquidity, the price fluctuations of digital assets have not yet become a transmission channel that significantly disrupts the stability of national monetary aggregates.

Blockchain Technology in Accounting: A New Era of Transparency and Accuracy

Vaishnavi Sarak, Varsha Vaibhav Taware

Abstract Blockchain technology is emerging as a transformative innovation in the field of accounting by enhancing transparency, accuracy, and reliability of financial information. Traditional accounting systems often face challenges such as data manipulation, lack of real-time reporting, and dependence on centralized control. Blockchain, with its decentralized and immutable nature, provides a secure platform for recording financial transactions in a transparent and verifiable manner. Each transaction is recorded in a distributed ledger that cannot be altered without consensus, reducing the chances of fraud and errors. This technology also supports real-time data sharing among stakeholders, improving trust and accountability in financial reporting. The study explores how blockchain can improve accounting practices, auditing processes, and financial decision-making while highlighting its benefits, challenges, and future potential in the accounting profession.

Aspek Praktis Investasi dan Trading Aset Kripto: Mekanisme Transaksi, Risiko, dan Kerangka Kehati-hatian untuk Literasi Umat

Mochammad Tanzil Multazam

Potensi Karbon Biru Kepulauan Dan Akuntansi Blockchain: Studi Literatur

Fadli Fendi Malawat, Arizal Hamizar, Hanifah Hanifah, Farly Buton · 6 authors

This study aims to systematically examine several scientific works related to blue carbon accounting in archipelagic regions and to explore the potential use of blockchain technology as an innovative solution for decentralized, transparent, and participatory carbon reporting. This study adopts a conceptual synthesis approach, The research also employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, analyzing 11 selected articles from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, and Google Scholar, published between 2014 and 2024. The findings reveal that although blue carbon ecosystems hold significant economic and ecological value, carbon reporting remains dominated by top-down approaches, with limited involvement of local stakeholders. Meanwhile, blockchain technology shows promise in addressing reporting challenges through a distributed ledger system, automated verification via smart contracts, and token-based incentive schemes. The study concludes that integrating blockchain into blue carbon accounting could enhance accountability, efficiency, and equity in carbon reporting. It also recommends conducting further empirical research within the Indonesian archipelagic context to validate these findings.

Analisis Ketidakpercayaan Masyarakat Indonesia Terhadap Bitcoin Sebagai Aset Digital: Studi Pada Penggunaan Bitcoin Melalui Platform Indodax

Ni Wayan Lasmi, Ni Kadek Ayu Puspita Dewi, Ni Putu Nina Eka Lestari, Ni Ketut Arniti
