Proof of All: Verifiable Computation in a Nutshell

Recent advances in the cryptographic field of "Zero-Knowledge Proofs" have sparked a new wave of research, giving birth to many exciting theoretical approaches in the last few years. Such research has often overlapped with the need for private and scalable solutions of Blockchain-based communities, resulting in the first practical implementations of such systems. Many of these innovative constructions have developed in parallel, using different terminologies and evolving into a fragmented ecosystem, calling for their consolidation into the more stable domain of "Verifiable Computation". In this master thesis I propose a unifying Verifiable Computation model for the simplification and efficient comparison of all cryptographic proof systems. I take advantage of this model to analyse innovative technologies (Homomorphic Authenticators, Verifiable Delay Functions) which developed into their own specialised domains, and I attempt to make them more accessible for newcomers to the field. Furthermore, I expand on the future of Verifiable Computation, Universal proof compilers and "Proofs of All", by approaching the state-of-the-art zk-STARK construction from a more accessible and informal design perspective.

LUCE: A Blockchain Solution for monitoring data License accoUntability and CompliancE

In this paper we present our preliminary work on monitoring data License accoUntability and CompliancE (LUCE). LUCE is a blockchain platform solution designed to stimulate data sharing and reuse, by facilitating compliance with licensing terms. The platform enables data accountability by recording the use of data and their purpose on a blockchain-supported platform. LUCE allows for individual data to be rectified and erased. In doing so LUCE can ensure subjects' General Data Protection Regulation's (GDPR) rights to access, rectification and erasure. Our contribution is to provide a distributed solution for the automatic management of data accountability and their license terms.

DeliveryCoin: An IDS and Blockchain-Based Delivery Framework for Drone-Delivered Services

In this paper, we propose an intrusion detection system (IDS) and Blockchain-based delivery framework, called DeliveryCoin, for drone-delivered services. The DeliveryCoin framework consists of four phases, including system initialization phase, creating the block, updating the blockchain, and intrusion detection phase. To achieve privacy-preservation, the DeliveryCoin framework employs hash functions and short signatures without random oracles and the Strong Diffie–Hellman (SDH) assumption in bilinear groups. To achieve consensus inside the blockchain-based delivery platform, we introduce a UAV-aided forwarding mechanism, named pBFTF. We also propose an IDS system in each macro eNB (5G) for detecting self-driving network attacks as well as false transactions between self-driving nodes. Furthermore, extensive simulations are conducted, and results confirm the efficiency of our proposed DeliveryCoin framework in terms of latency of blockchain consensus and accuracy.

Revisiting consensus protocols through wait-free parallelization

The recent surge of blockchain systems has renewed the interest in traditional Byzantine fault-tolerant consensus protocols. Many such consensus protocols have a primary-backup design in which an assigned replica, the primary, is responsible for coordinating the consensus protocol. Although the primary-backup design leads to relatively simple and high performance consensus protocols, it places an unreasonable burden on a good primary and allows malicious primaries to substantially affect the system performance. In this paper, we propose a protocol-agnostic approach to improve the design of primary backup consensus protocols. At the core of our approach is a novel wait-free approach of running several instances of the underlying consensus protocol in parallel. To yield a high performance parallelized design, we present coordination-free techniques to order operations across parallel instances, deal with instance failures, and assign clients to specific instances. Consequently, the design we present is able to reduce the load on individual instances and primaries, while also reducing the adverse effects of any malicious replicas.

Analysis of cryptocurrency’s characteristics in four perspectives

Purpose The innovation of cryptography technique and blockchain has made cryptocurrency an alternative medium of exchange due to its safety, transparency and cost effectiveness. But its main feature cannot be separated from the users who use cryptocurrency for their illegal transactions. There are several arguments related to the legality of cryptocurrency. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the nature of cryptocurrency based on characteristics of money, legal perspective, economic perspective and Sharia perspective. Design/methodology/approach In this study, the methodology used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The object of this research is cryptocurrency. The data are secondary data obtained from peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers review, working paper and Sharia consultant reports addressing the legality of cryptocurrency. The literature review analysis includes the following steps: material collection, descriptive analysis, discussion with people in Sharia competency and intuitive-subjective material evaluation. Findings Regarding the characteristic of money, cryptocurrency is acceptable. But in terms of the legal perspectives, cryptocurrency does not meet the criteria as currency. From the economic perspective, cryptocurrency does not fully meet the characteristic currency due to high price volatility, and from the Sharia perspective, cryptocurrency can be considered property (mal) but not as a monetary value (thamanniyah). Research limitations/implications The research findings are based on the journal articles, working paper and Sharia consultant report, and it may lack Sharia’s opinion. Any further discussion related to Sharia perspectives will be a great input to enrich the study. Practical implications This study also includes the implications related to the opportunities and the risks of cryptocurrency that can be discussed for the development of the cryptocurrency in the future. Social implications This study includes the implication cryptocurrency is using as nature of money and not as speculative instrument. Originality/value This study argued the legality of cryptocurrency in four perspectives such as the nature of money, legal, economy and Sharia perspective.

Overview on the legal position of cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) in some countries in the world - Orientation to build a legal framework for cryptocurrency in Vietnam

The article focuses on analyzing and commenting on the nature of cryptocurrency (typically Bitcoin) and the legal position of this cryptocurrency in Vietnam through comparison with countries like France (Europe) and Thailand in order to make a perfect recommendation for Vietnamese law on this issue. Accordingly, the paper shows that in France, cryptocurrency is considered a kind of asset, although the French law currently does not recognize the ability to pay in encrypted money for all transactions, though in fact, it can be converted into real money. In Thailand, cryptocurrency is seen as a type of stock and can be traded on the stock exchange. Meanwhile in Vietnam, although there are many conflicting opinions, however, with the current regulations, cryptocurrency is sufficient to be considered a kind of property rights recorded in Vietnam Civil Code in 2015. And therefore, although not used as a means of payment as legal money, cryptocurrency should have been the object of exchange and transaction activities as a type of securities in Thailand. The management of cryptocurrency under the securities model could help Vietnam to control well the illegal cryptocurrency transactions such as money laundering, terrorist financing, etc. Besides, it also helps increase revenue for the State budget through taxation on transactions and income generated from such transactions.

Activities and Operations with Cryptocurrencies and Their Taxation Implications: The Spanish Case

The purpose of this article was to attempt to shed light on the taxation of activities or actions related to cryptocurrencies. For this purpose, a small analysis was carried out on the nature, operation, and characteristics of cryptocurrencies. Subsequently, from the point of view of the Spanish tax system, the tax implications of the use, actions, and operations carried out with this virtual medium were discussed. The most recent information derived from the binding inquiries issued by the general directorate of taxes in Spain, an institution under the Ministry of Finance, was reviewed. This article analyzed whether the activities related to Bitcoin should be declared for the purposes of personal income tax, property tax, inheritance tax and finally, in the tax on transmissions of assets and documented legal acts. Finally, special mention was made of activities, such as the mining of Bitcoins in “Bitcoin farms” and the exploitation of websites for buying and selling cryptocurrencies and vending machines. Other collateral situations were also analyzed, such as the system to be used.

A blockchain‐based architecture for securing electronic health record systems

Summary This paper presents a blockchain‐based architecture for our current electronic health record (EHR) systems. Being built on top of existing databases maintained by health providers, the architecture implements a blockchain solution to ensure the integrity of data records and improve interoperability of the systems through tracking all events that happen to the data in the databases. In this proposed architecture, we also introduce a new incentive mechanism for the creation of new blocks on the blockchain. The architecture is independent of any specific blockchain platforms and open to further extensions; hence, it potentially fits in with other electronic record systems that require protection against data misuse.

Hatta günümüzde birçok firma ödemelerini iş çi ücretlerini kripto paralarla yapmaktadır.Bu paraların bir çok avantajının olması yanında bir takım dezavantajlarının olduğu görülmüştür. Kripto paralar hukuki anlamda kabul görmüş olmasa da yüksek kar getiri oranı, kolay transfer edilmesi, işlem çok az olması gibi sebeplerle işletmeleri hayran bırakan bir yatırım aracına dönüştürmüştür. Günümüzde Ticari işletmeler kripto paralarla tediyeişlemleri borçlanma işlemleri veya tahsilatlarını gerçekleştirebilmekte olup ayrıca kur getirisinden extra yararlanmak sebebiyle kripto paralara çok sık yatırım yaptıkları görülmektedir. Ayrıca bu paraların piyasada bir çok modeli olması ve bu paraların kendine has bir borsası vardır. Very madenciliği yapılmasada aynı borsadaki gibi arz talep dengesine bağlı olarak kar getirisi elde etmek mümkündür. Bu çalışmanın amacı sanal paralar ve bitcoin özelinde tüm kripto paraların nasıl çalıştığı ve bu paraların özellikleri hakkında bilgi verip Türkiye’de Bitcoin ile yapılan ticari işlemlerinin muhasebeleştirilmesi hakkında değerlendirmelerde bulunmaktır.

A Taxonomic Approach to Understanding Emerging Blockchain Identity Management Systems

Identity management systems (IDMSs) are widely used to provision user identities while managing authentication, authorization, and data sharing within organizations and on the web. Traditional identity systems typically suffer from single points of failure, lack of interoperability, and privacy issues, such as enabling mass data collection and user tracking. Blockchain technology has the potential to alleviate these concerns: it can support the ability for users to control the custody of their own identifiers and credentials, enabling novel data ownership and governance models with built-in control and consent mechanisms. Hence, blockchain-based IDMSs, which could benefit both users and businesses, are beginning to proliferate. This work categorizes these systems into a taxonomy based on differences in blockchain architectures, governance models, and other salient features. Context is provided for the taxonomy through the description of related terms, emerging standards, and use cases while highlighting relevant security and privacy considerations.

The existing solutions which will validate the users but do not take the responsibilities of the users or they are always dependent on intermediators. The latest development of or concept of colored coins and coin shuffle can be used to protect the users who are connected to the network without compromising or leaking any information. The bitcoin blockchain is very impressive and robust that will help to manage the user information and also very helpful to determine the possession of the users framework.</em>

IoT and Blockchain Paradigms for EV Charging System

In this research work, we apply the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm with a decentralized blockchain approach to handle the electric vehicle (EV) charging process in shared spaces, such as condominiums. A mobile app handles the user authentication mechanism to initiate the EV charging process, where a set of sensors are used for measuring energy consumption, and based on a microcontroller, establish data communication with the mobile app. A blockchain handles financial transitions, and this approach can be replicated to other EV charging scenarios, such as public charging systems in a city, where the mobile device provides an authentication mechanism. A user interface was developed to visualize transactions, gather users’ preferences, and handle power charging limitations due to the usage of a shared infrastructure. The developed approach was tested in a shared space with three EVs using a charging infrastructure for a period of 3.5 months.

&lt;p&gt;Abstract&lt;br /&gt;This article writing aims to study the bitcoin buying and selling transactions that are facilitated by the Indodax website according to the rule of law in Indonesia and protection for those who conduct bitcoin buying and selling transactions in Indonesia.This legal research is normative legal research that acts prescriptively and applied. Request submitted to the user. The technique of obtaining legal material used uses basic materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. Legal materials analysis techniques draw conclusions from a debate that draws general attention to the concrete problems needed.Bitcoin buying and selling transactions facilitated by the first Indodax website are in accordance with the principles of agreement and the legal requirements contained in the Civil Code, the first in accordance with Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and Government Regulations Number 82 of 2012 concerning the Implementation of Systems and Electronic Transactions, and the third in accordance with Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. With the issuance of the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency Regulation No. 5 of 2019 concerning the Technical Provisions for the Implementation of the Physical Market of Crypto Assets (Crypto Assets) on the Futures Exchange, the bitcoin buying and selling transaction has been approved and supported by law in Indonesia. Regulations on how to buy bitcoin, the requirements for establishing the physical market for crypto assets or exchanges, and the procedure for disputing approval. Legal protection of bitcoin buying and selling transactions is divided into several aspects of privacy, the intensity of legal subjects, object transactions, and the responsibility of the parties.&lt;br /&gt;Keywords : bitcoin; buy and sell; indodax&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Abstrak&lt;br /&gt;Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keabsahan perjanjian transaksi jual beli bitcoin yang difasilitasi website Indodax menurut kaidah hukum di indonesia dan perlindungan bagi para pihak yang melakukan transaksi jual beli bitcoin di indonesia. Penelitian hukum ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif yang bersifat preskriptif dan terapan. Pendekatan yang penulis gunakan adalah pendekatan perundang-undangan. Teknik pengumpulan bahan hukum yang penulis gunakan yakni dengan cara pengumpulan bahan hukum primer, bahan hukum sekunder, dan bahan hukum tersier. Teknik analisis bahan hukum dilakukan secara deduktif yakni menarik kesimpulan dari suatu permasalahan yang bersifat umum terhadap permasalah konkret yang dihadapi.Transaksi jual beli bitcoin yang difasilitasi website Indodax yang pertama telah sesuai dengan asas-asas perjanjian dan syarat sah perjanjian yang terkandung dalam Kitab UndangUndang Hukum Perdata, yang kedua telah sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik serta Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 82 Tahun 2012 tentang Penyelenggaraan Sistem dan Transaksi Elektronik, dan yang ketiga adalah telah sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen. Dengan dikeluarkannya Peraturan Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi Nomor 5 Tahun 2019 tentang Ketentuan Teknis Penyelenggaraan Pasar Fisik Aset Kripto (Crypto Asset) di Bursa Berjangka, maka transaksi jual beli bitcoin sudah resmi diakui dan mempunyai dasar hukum di indonesia. Peraturan ini memuat berbagai hal tentang tata cara jual beli bitcoin, persyaratan pendirian pasar fisik aset kripto atau exchange, dan prosedur penyelesaian sengketa. Perlindungan hukum transaksi jual beli bitcoin dibagi dalam beberapa aspek meliputi privasi, otentisitas subjek hukum, objek transaksi, dan tanggung jawab para pihak.&lt;br /&gt;Kata kunci: bitcoin; jual beli; indodax&lt;/p&gt;

Secure Calibration for Safety-Critical IoT: Traceability for Safety Resilience

Secure sensor calibration constitutes a foundational step that underpins operational safety in the Industrial Internet of Things. While much attention has been given to IoT security such as the use of TLS to secure sensed data, little thought has been given to securing the calibration infrastructure itself. Currently traceability is achieved via manual verification using paper-based datasheets which is both time consuming and insecure. For instance, when the calibration status of parent devices is revoked as mistakes or mischance is detected, calibrated devices are not updated until the next calibration cycle, leaving much of the calibration parameters invalid. Aside from error, any party within the calibration infrastructure can maliciously introduce errors since the current paper based system lacks authentication as well as non-repudiation. In this paper, we propose a novel resilient architecture for calibration infrastructure, where the calibration status of sensor elements can be verified on-the-fly to the root of trust preserving the properties of authentication and non-repudiation. We propose an implementation based on smart contracts on the Ethereum network. Our evaluation shows that Ethereum is likely to address the protection requirements of traceable measurements.

Spams meet Cryptocurrencies: Sextortion in the Bitcoin Ecosystem

In the past year, a new spamming scheme has emerged: sexual extortion messages requiring payments in the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, also known as sextortion. This scheme represents a first integration of the use of cryptocurrencies by members of the spamming industry. Using a dataset of 4,340,736 sextortion spams, this research aims at understanding such new amalgamation by uncovering spammers' operations. To do so, a simple, yet effective method for projecting Bitcoin addresses mentioned in sextortion spams onto transaction graph abstractions is computed over the entire Bitcoin blockchain. This allows us to track and investigate monetary flows between involved actors and gain insights into the financial structure of sextortion campaigns. We find that sextortion spammers are somewhat sophisticated, following pricing strategies and benefiting from cost reductions as their operations cut the upper-tail of the spamming supply chain. We discover that one single entity is likely controlling the financial backbone of the majority of the sextortion campaigns and that the 11-month operation studied yielded a lower-bound revenue between \$1,300,620 and \$1,352,266. We conclude that sextortion spamming is a lucrative business and spammers will likely continue to send bulk emails that try to extort money through cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin and Venezuela's Unofficial Exchange Rate

Using Bitcoin trading data in Venezuelan bolivars from the LocalBitcoins peer-to-peer market place and using the theory of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), Bitcoin, as a single universal asset, is substituted for the ‘basket of goods’ normally used in the PPP, allowing the estimation of the relationship between the Venezuelan bolivar and the United States dollar. In this analysis Bitcoin is used as a tool to enable the calculation of the bolivars to dollars unofficial exchange rate and consequently the implied inflation rate. Using Bitcoin’s publicly available prices in this way enables a government’s economic mismanagement to be identified more quickly than the typical approach of measuring changes in the Consumer Price Index. Venezuela is currently in crisis, which this approach identifies as a problem as far back as 2014, as official and unofficial exchange rates diverge and inflation rates increase yearly reaching an unbelievable 70,000% in 2018 alone.

Financial shielding that Bitcoin grants to capitals in the world

Market forces are not the only influence on currency exchange rates. They can change due to monetary and fiscal policies among other international repercussions. Bitcoin, for its independence from all the central banks worldwide, has a natural shield that will change the direction in the economic policy of the industrialized countries. The research aim is to analyze the influence that indicators and financial assets can have on Bitcoin. The study tries to confirm the reasons why it has begun to be the solution in economies with unstable currencies.The behavior of the different agents appears as the core of the study. It is creating a backward 5-year work horizon. The data are continuous values, and they are the numerical variables for Pearson correlation analysis. The time series in fixed periods are the basis for the study of projections. Besides, the Relative Strength Index or Relative Strength Index called Welles Wilder is useful in the research. Bitcoin does not get influenced by the Dow Jones, gold price, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The independence in the creation of this cryptocurrency could in the long term end up turning it into a currency of world use. As a result, the understanding and management of this cryptocurrency could generate new ways of building the future monetary system. The new direction of the economy will be registered in the blockchain and not in a central bank.

An exemplary paradigm of how an AI can be a disruptive technological paragon via the utilization of blockchain comes straight from the world of deep learning. Data scientists have long struggled to maintain the quality of a dataset for machine learning by an AI entity. Datasets can be very expensive to purchase, as, depending on both the proper selection of the elements and the homogeneity of the data contained within, constructing and maintaining the integrity of a dataset is difficult. Blockchain as a highly secure storage medium presents a technological quantum leap in maintaining data integrity. Furthermore, blockchain’s immutability constructs a fruitful environment for creating high quality, permanent and growing datasets for deep learning. Awareness, Trust, and Adoption of Blockchain Technology and Cryptocurrency among Blockchain Communities in Malaysia

Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are attracting increasing attention from consumers, investors, investment industry and regulators. Cryptocurrency has great potential to be used for transaction or investment in the future. However, level of awareness of the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency is still at infant stage, specifically in developing countries. Thus, this study aims to investigate the level of awareness, trust and adoption of blockchain technology among blockchain community in Malaysia. Quantitative approach was adopted in this study where a new questionnaire was developed in the first phase to measure the level of awareness, adoption, and trust of blockchain technology applications among Malaysian blockchain communities. The resulting questionnaire consists of items on respondents’ demographic, their awareness, trust, and adoption of FinTech particularly on blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. In the second phase, a pilot study was conducted to validated the new questionnaire from 304 respondents. Reliability test using Cronbach’s alpha with a value of 0.908. A real survey was also conducted in this phase using the validated queationnaire and data were obtained online from 304 respondents. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis during the third phase of the study, and results demonstrate that the awareness level of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are at the intermediate level. Nevertheless, the majority of respondents are confident and trust that the blockchain technology can offer a stable and secure platform, which gives positive impact on the application of the technology. Empirical results provide significant insights into the development of the blockchain technology industry in the country.

Set-Based Models for Cryptocurrency Software

Emin Gün Sirer once said: It's clear that writing a robust, secure smart contract requires extreme amounts of diligence. It's more similar to writing code for a nuclear power reactor, than to writing loose web code [...] Yet the current Solidity language and underlying EVM seems designed more for the latter. Formal methods (FM) are mathematics-based software development methods aimed at producing "code for a nuclear power reactor". That is, due application of FM can produce bug-free, zero-defect, correct-by-construction, guaranteed, certified software. However, the software industry seldom use FM. One of the main reasons for such a situation is that there exists the perception (which might well be a fact) that FM increase software costs. On the other hand, FM can be partially applied thus producing high-quality software, although not necessarily bug-free. In this paper we outline some FM related techniques whose application the cryptocurrency community should take into consideration because they could bridge the gap between "loose web code" and "code for a nuclear power reactor".

Payment Networks as Creation Games

Payment networks were introduced to address the limitation on the transaction throughput of popular blockchains. To open a payment channel one has to publish a transaction on-chain and pay the appropriate transaction fee. A transaction can be routed in the network, as long as there is a path of channels with the necessary capital. The intermediate nodes on this path can ask for a fee to forward the transaction. Hence, opening channels, although costly, can benefit a party, both by reducing the cost of the party for sending a transaction and by collecting the fees from forwarding transactions of other parties. This trade-off spawns a network creation game between the channel parties. In this work, we introduce the first game theoretic model for analyzing the network creation game on blockchain payment channels. Further, we examine various network structures (path, star, complete bipartite graph and clique) and determine for each one of them the constraints (fee value) under which they constitute a Nash equilibrium, given a fixed fee policy. Last, we show that the star is a Nash equilibrium when each channel party can freely decide the channel fee. On the other hand, we prove the complete bipartite graph can never be a Nash equilibrium, given a free fee policy.

Online Payment Network Design

Payment channels allow transactions between participants of the blockchain to be executed securely off-chain, and thus provide a promising solution for the scalability problem of popular blockchains. We study the online network design problem for payment channels, assuming a central coordinator. We focus on a single channel, where the coordinator desires to maximize the number of accepted transactions under given capital constraints. Despite the simplicity of the problem, we present a flurry of impossibility results, both for deterministic and randomized algorithms against adaptive as well as oblivious adversaries.

MIN: Co-Governing Multi-Identifier Network Architecture and its Prototype on Operator's Network

IP protocol is the core of TCP/IP network layer. However, since IP address and its Domain Name are allocated and managed by a single agency, there are risks of centralization. The semantic overload of IP address also reduces its scalability and mobility, which further hinders the security. This paper proposes a co-governing Multi-Identifier Network (MIN) architecture that constructs a network layer with parallel coexistence of multiple identifiers, including identity, content, geographic information, and IP address. On the management plane, we develop an efficient management system using consortium blockchain with voting consensus, so the network can simultaneously manage and support by hundreds or thousands of nodes with high throughput. On the data plane, we propose an algorithm merging hash table and prefix tree (HTP) for FIB, which avoids the false-negative error and can inter-translate different identifiers with tens of billions of entries. Further, we propose a scheme to transport IP packets using CCN as a tunnel for supporting progressive deployment. We deployed the prototype of MIN to the largest operators' network in Mainland China, Hongkong and Macao, and demonstrated that the network can register identifier under co-governing consensus algorithm, support VoD service very well.

Information management throughout the life cycle of buildings – Basics and new approaches such as blockchain

Abstract Ensuring sustainability for real estate is subject - among other aspects - to building related information. This information needs to be stored and updated continuously throughout the life cycle of a building. A delivery to buyers, tenants, consultants or other actors must be possible at any time. However, in most cases transactions cause significant loss of information while the issues associated with the “building passport” approach remains unsolved to date. Considering the long service life of buildings, various questions arise: (1) How to support data generation and storage within the life cycle and how to encourage actors to compete? (2) How to assure a high data quality and how to store it over a long period of time? (3) How to assure that all data users can track down the data owners at any point of time to manage compliance and legal issues? (4) Are there any new business models or new scopes for designers or other service providers? Information needs of actors along the life cycle are analysed and new information technologies (e.g. blockchain) are discussed. A relation to Building Information Modeling (BIM) is shown. Potentials of enhancing existing approaches regarding documentation retracing and accessibility of building and life cycle related information by using new technologies and IT are discussed; benefits of using a blockchain based system is pointed out by referring to existing pilot projects and first examples. Solution approaches for building passports are shown.
