Dual-encrypted privacy preservation in Blockchain-enabled IoT healthcare system

Abstract

For the benefit of many healthcare stakeholders, wearable technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) are now experiencing exponential growth in the healthcare sector. Yet, due to the IoT’s centralized aspect, the existing healthcare system encounters privacy and security difficulties while storing and exchanging individual healthcare data over the Internet. Fortunately, the underlying Blockchain technology offers decentralization qualities with great security and high trust. In this paper, We propose a framework with the integration of Blockchain & IoT in the Healthcare system. A novel Dual-encryption approach, which combines symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic techniques, is used here to maintain data privacy. Additionally, we use a digital signature technique to improve security and privacy as the system contains vital patient information. Moreover, a Comparative analysis has been done with existing models to ensure the better performance of the proposed model.
