INFORMATION SECURITY OF IoT SYSTEMS FOR "GREEN" REGIONS: PROTECTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SENSORS
Abstract
The article examines information security threats to IoT systems used for environmental monitoring in regions transitioning to a green economy. The main attack vectors on environmental sensors (air, water, soil, forests) are analyzed. A set of measures to protect IoT infrastructure is proposed: lightweight encryption, device authentication, physical tamper protection, network segmentation, and blockchain for data integrity. It is shown that implementation of such measures is critical for the reliability of environmental reporting and sustainable regional development. The article is addressed to specialists in cybersecurity, environmental monitoring and digital transformation of territories.
