FINANCING OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION MEASURES USING DIGITAL ASSETS AND BLOCKCHAIN

Abstract

This article explores the transformation of environmental financing mechanisms using distributed ledger technology (blockchain). It examines how the use of non-fungible carbon tokens impacts climate change mitigation, how the tokenization of ecosystem services enables resource tracking and simplifies resource tracing, and supports conservation funding. It also examines the potential for decentralized platforms in environmental investment processes and analyzes the use of blockchain technology in Russia.
