Abstract

An Introductory Examination of Blockchain provides a comprehensive survey of blockchain by looking at three aspects of understanding: the first is to understand what blockchains are and the models and investments needed to use them; the second explores how they may be applied in both the public and private sectors; and the final section is a survey of the underlying technology used by blockchains that make them unique in secure data management and exchange along with some of their potential vulnerabilities. This broad survey provides relevant information from the executive to the technical manager.
