Abstract

The integration of blockchain technology within the infrastructure of energy suppliers offers a transformative opportunity for enhancing public policy and regulatory practices. This case study on Aster Switching investigates the implications of blockchain adoption for policy formulation and implementation in the energy sector. Utilizing distributed ledger technology, this research examines how blockchain can significantly improve transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency in energy supply chains. The findings demonstrate that blockchain technology facilitates more effective policy development and enforcement by providing secure, immutable records of energy transactions. This enables real-time monitoring and compliance enforcement by regulators. The study contributes to the discourse on blockchain adoption in the energy sector by providing detailed insights into the benefits and challenges of this technology in shaping public policy. The novelty of this research lies in its application of blockchain to revolutionize regulatory practices and governance, showcasing its potential to enhance efficiency and trust in the energy sector through technological innovation.
