PROBLEMS OF USING CRYPTOCURRENCIES IN THE ECONOMY OF STATES

Abstract

Electronic money has become widespread in the modern world. This is facilitated by the high rate of transactions, low costs, and the increasing use of Internet technologies. One of the most popular types of digital money is possible to define cryptocurrency. But there are problems hindering its use for economic development. Therefore, the directions of using cryptocurrencies in many areas of the economy are being studied. The purpose of the study is to reveal the causes of the problems of introducing cryptocurrencies in a market economy. Empirical, systematic, analytical and other methods were used to study the main problems of using cryptocurrencies on the example of bitcoin. The meaning of the cryptocurrency is revealed, the most significant problems of its use are identified.
