New Enhancing Security through Private Blockchain: Building a Secure Peer-to-Peer Messaging System with Advanced Blockchain Technology
Abstract
Nowadays, messaging apps are very popular, and client authentication is crucial. Many mobile apps use encryption for security, but they face security threats. This highlights the need for a trusted security method. In a blockchain framework, all data is automatically verified and controlled, with transactions recorded. Thus, a blockchain-based messaging system could be a solution. Software applications, known as Decentralized Messaging Applications (DMApps), are operated within a distributed computing environment, such as a blockchain network. DMApps integrated with a blockchain network can execute application logic that is ensured to be transparent, verifiable, and immutable. We’ve developed a secure DMApp supported by blockchain-based smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain, ensuring data security. Our paper investigates how users can communicate securely through this system. We explore why blockchain enhances communication security and propose a decentralized architecture for secure messaging while overcoming the challenges of traditional approaches.
