Implications of the Blockchain-Enabled Model

Abstract

In the face of the emerging trend of focusing on emerging technologies (e.g., 3D printing, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, distributed ledger technology, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, nanotechnology, and robotics), what are the implications for management disaster supply chain and logistics management? This chapter attempts to answer this question. First, the innovations and breakthroughs happening now that will transform business and society are articulated. Then the findings associated with the unified blockchain DVFS-based prototype for enhancing the operations in disaster supply chain and logistics are provided in current research trends (and limitations) along with implications. The chapter concludes with the present research’s limitations and possible paths for extending present research along resilience indicators, practical tools, and case applications.
