The chapter discusses the rise of digital currencies that completes the transfer of monetary value and bookkeeping through blockchain or other distributed ledger technologies (DLT). The chapter considers that the regulatory intensity required within the FinTech industry has reached a new high, especially with the governance of core dimensions like anti-monopoly.
