Blockchain-Based Organ Donation System: A Decentralized Solution for Transparent and Secure Transplant Matching
Abstract
The rising demand for organ transplants, combined with the restricted availability of donors, requires a clear, secure, and efficient system to streamline the matching process. Conventional organ donation platforms encounter obstacles like fraudulent activity, mismatched transplants, and data privacy. This study presents an Ethereum blockchain-based decentralized application (dApp) that links organ donors and recipients. The solution guarantees safe, unchangeable interactions between stakeholders by utilizing Solidity smart contracts. The platform, which was created with Node.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, offers features including pledge and donor registration, transplant matching, and pledge verification. It gives a clear and simple solution. The design, process, and advantages of applying blockchain technology to this important healthcare application are described in this article.
