Is the Capital Market Based on Blockchain Technology Efficient for Financial Inclusion?

Abstract

The purpose of this contribution is to define the digital capital market based on Blockchain technology, to analyze its characteristics, and to study how their similarities with the efficient capital market can also lead to financial inclusion. Assuming the Blockchain system efficiency based on the literature review, the authors focus in this work, using a qualitative analysis of previous articles, on the influence of an efficient Blockchain market on financial inclusion. As a result, this chapter proposes a conceptual model, which outlines the possibilities of achieving efficient market and financial inclusion theories by applying the distributed ledger technology.
