Boost Financial Efficiency and Security with Blockchain
Abstract
Blockchain technology has evolved since it was first created as an underlying component of Bitcoin to be among the most transformative drivers of change in finance. In fact, this chapter seeks to cast light on how much blockchain has influenced finances and what possibilities it has to transform traditional financial systems into more secure, transparent, and efficient ones. The unchangeable, distributed database provides concealed layers of data integrity, thus minimizing the dependence on middlemen, and massive savings and efficiency gains should be expected. The primary implementations of this domain can be listed as cross-border payments, smart contracts, asset tokenization, and decentralized finance platforms. Next, the chapter also covers some of the drawbacks that are connected with the use of the blockchain, namely regulatory issues, scalability problems, and integration issues. It will show, in practice, through refinancing projects and links to the real world, how holders of pseudo-money are attempting to incorporate disruptive blockchain into the financial system in order to stay competitive. Last but not the least, some arguments regarding the prospective of blockchain technology in finances and, therefore, the perspectives for further development of innovations for a new look in financial services as the focus of this chapter shall be concluded.
