Abstract
Research in the field of integrating biometric technologies with distributed ledger technologies, particularly with blockchain technology, aims to find ways to enhance security, privacy, and functional compatibility in the design of modern hybrid biometric systems. Biometric and blockchain technologies each have their own advantages and potential independently of each other. Their integration allows for the mutually beneficial use of these advantages. This article is dedicated to various aspects of the integration of biometric and blockchain technologies. It discusses the use of biometric systems at the level of identity management and access control in blockchain, especially the development and use of biometric digital signatures.
