A Secured Framework for Blockchain Technology Adoption in IoT

Abstract

In networking applications, security and privacy is an important concern and it is an ongoing problem in Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Many security mechanisms like biometrics, two factor authentications etc, were recommended for IoT device. Since Security is one of the important characteristics of Blockchain (BC) technology which is familiar for Bitcoin and Ethereum, it is applied in IoT for data protection and data privacy. In an organization, the IoT data is shared between the various personnel. IoT uses non standard computing devices to send and receive the data from the sensors and other devices. In such circumstances, it is to be verified to prevent any disputes or problems among the users of the organization. The proposed study investigates how blockchain technology provides security and transparency in IoT applications and also discusses the issues and challenges.
