Blockchain Enabled Voting

Abstract

The following paper proposes a blockchain-enabled online voting system with existing technologies. Blockchain technologies enable a plethora of applications that take advantage of distributed economies. The proposed model is a web application built with AngularJS that uses Firebase for security and authentication. The Ethereum Blockchain is used by the project to deploy the smart contract. A smart contract is constructed for each poll to keep track of vote tallies, and when the vote is cast, a transaction is triggered. A voter can see the live status of the poll after they cast their vote.
