Cityscape: Blockchain - Based Real Estate Platform for Transparency and Fraud Minimization
Abstract
Cityscape is an end-to-end web application that revolutionizes property transactions by combining blockchain technology and cryptocurrency payments. Traditional property transactions typically involve many intermediaries that incur additional costs, inefficiencies, and fraud. Within this research paper, how a decentralized and safe property purchasing and selling system based on blockchain can be developed in order to give transparency, immutability, and security to transactions is explored. The platform offers users the opportunity to list, search, and manage properties through the use of cryptocurrency as a method of secure and authenticated transactions. Through the utilization of smart contracts, Cityscape ensures the transfer of ownership in the property automatically, decreasing the reliance on intermediaries and accelerating the whole process of transaction. The utilization of blockchain technology eliminates the common issues such as document forgery, double spending, and unauthorized modification. Also, use of a distributed ledger enhances the degree of trust among stakeholders with unalterable proof of ownership. This article examines the influence of blockchain technology in revolutionizing real estate transactions, its advantages, disadvantages, and future directions in the industry. Besides, we discuss the scalability of blockchain-based property management systems, integration with artificial intelligence, and the regulatory framework for mass application of the technology in the real estate industry.
