Abstract

I was intrigued with the increase in the value of Bitcoin between January 2024 and August 2025 and started to look for reasons with the help of ChatGPT and research on the internet. Some of the information found on the internet have been copy pasted in this paper. The aim of it is to provide a structured overview of Bitcoin as a monetary and technological innovation. It explains Bitcoin's core principles, transaction mechanisms, and governance model. The analysis extends to macroeconomic implications, institutional adoption, ETF developments, government policies, and criminal misuse. The analysis concludes with an evaluation of Bitcoin’s investment potential
