Revolutionizing IoT with Blockchain
Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) has created new opportunities for the connection of digital and real objects, enabling computing platforms, users, and objects to work together for practical and financial advantages. However, with the increasing number of connected devices, the security and privacy of data have become a growing concern. Blockchain technology, which maintains an immutable distributed ledger of network transactions, offers a solution to these challenges. The aim of this study is to analyze how blockchain technology is able to address the unique requirements of the IoT, bringing about a fresh era of secure and dependable communication. Also included in the study are the development of blockchain technology and how it accomplishes auditability, security, and decentralization, along with the blockchain-based Internet of Things (B-IoT) apps, including their architecture and security features. Finally, the challenges and future directions of B-IoT, which will help guide researchers toward deploying the next generation of B-IoT applications, have been characterized.
