Blockchain: Pillar of revolutions in cryptocurrencies, supply chain management, Internet of Things and healthcare
Abstract
This research aims to explore how blockchain technology is revolutionizing the fields of cryptocurrency, supply chain management, the Internet of Things (IoT), and healthcare. The aim is to accentuate the principal advantages it confers on every domain. A bibliometric analysis of the literature was done to determine how blockchain benefits each industry. The study’s findings highlight how blockchain functions as a distributed digital ledger for cryptocurrencies, guaranteeing transaction security and creating a database that is updated chronologically. Additionally, in the realm of supply chain management, blockchain enables traceability, security, and cost reduction. For IoT, it enhances security, interoperability, immutability, and reliability. Blockchain also contributes to facilitating medical data management, patient monitoring, and drug traceability in the healthcare domain. These findings highlight how blockchain technology can significantly improve security, transparency, and operational efficiency in these key areas through a discussion of the benefits derived from adopting this collaborative solution.
