The emergence of eryptocurrencies has not only revolutionized financial markets but has also raised concerns about their significant energy consumption and environmental impact. This study focuses on conducting a bibliometric analysis to explore the relationship among the energy consumption and cryptocurrencies. Initially 431 research articles were extracted for the database. Finally, 390 research articles were finalized for analysis like Bradfords law, lotka law, most cited author, most cited country, most cited document, co-word analysis, Co-occurrence keyword and Thematic Map to understand the energy consumption by cryptocurrency. By systematically reviewing scholarly literature, this study aims to identify key themes, trends, and research gaps in the domain of energy consumption in cryptocurrencies. Understanding the energy implications of cryptocurrencies is vital for addressing environmental concerns and developing sustainable solutions. Through the synthesis and analysis of existing scholarly work, this study contributes to a broader understanding of the topic and provides guidance for future research in this rapidly evolving field.
