Blockchain Implementation with Hyperledger Fabric and Approach for Performance Evaluation

Abstract

Blockchain is a decentralized and distributed digital ledger technology that has gained significant attention and recognition in recent years. It holds great significance due to its potential to revolutionize various industries and address several challenges associated with traditional centralized systems. While blockchain technology has garnered significant attention and potential, its adoption has been relatively slower due to the technical complexity involved in developing and integrating blockchain solutions poses a barrier for many organizations and individuals who may not have the necessary skills or resources. Despite this challenge, the blockchain ecosystem continues to evolve due to its huge advantages. Even to reduce the complexity, there are several blockchain frameworks available that provide developers with tools and platforms to build and deploy blockchain applications easily. This research work is making an effort to use one such framework to implement real life problems on blockchain platform in a simplified manner. Hyperledger Fabric has gained popularity for enterprise blockchain use cases, such as supply chain management, finance, healthcare, and more. Its focus on privacy, scalability, permissioning, and modular architecture which makes it suitable for organizations that require control, flexibility, and interoperability in their blockchain deployments. At last, this study also demonstrates the way to evaluate blockchain network performance.
