Why Bitcoin is so original, and why its copies are doomed to fail?

Authors:Said NassarTina Yaacoub

Abstract

This article unravels the unique position of Bitcoin in the world of digital currencies. Tracing its origin as a response to the 2008 financial crisis, the paper highlights Bitcoin's defining characteristics, implementation, innovations, and its potential influence on global financial systems. Despite the proliferation of newer cryptocurrencies, the innate qualities of Bitcoin, including its security, decentralized nature, and finite supply, set it apart as a transformative force, echoing sentiments akin to the historical significance of gunpowder.
