Designing A Secure Food Supply Chain Management System with Efficient Smart Contracts Enabled Blockchain
Abstract
Security in the Food Supply Chain Management (FSCM) System can be enhanced using Blockchain. Efficient consensus mechanisms and smart contracts can be used to enhance security as well as to optimize the computational time and latencies of the model. This study explores how combining blockchain and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) can help to solve many global problems and issues faced by the farmers and the other participants of the FS CM. An efficient smart contract enabled blockchain-based secure scheme is proposed in this study to enhance the security of FSCM with better computational time. The study aims to explore how to hide the blockchain transaction data of the farmers and other participants in the FS CM. The proposed model encrypts and conceals the secret data within the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC), aiming to safeguard the privacy of the blockchain transaction data. Experimental outcomes demonstrate the efficiency of this HEVC video algorithm for security enhancement. The proposed scheme outperforms the existing methodology in terms of security as well as computational time.
