Transforming E-Waste: Building an NFT Marketplace for Electronic Products

Abstract

The widespread adoption of electronic devices in modern society has resulted in electronic waste, or "e-waste," emerging as a major environmental concern. In response to the emergence of a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) market devoted exclusively to the electronics sector, this study presents a novel solution. The marketplace uses the special features of NFTs and blockchain technology to streamline the exchange and reuse of electronic devices in an effort to reduce the amount of e-waste produced. This study explores the global e-waste crisis, current trends in NFT technology, and the circular economy to highlight the potential of NFT marketplaces as a sustainable solution for managing electronic waste.
