Blockchain-Based Smart Contracts for Secure and Efficient Financial Transactions in Digital Banking
Abstract
The inherent security features of Blockchain technology play a pivotal role in digital banking ecosystem. The decentralized nature of Blockchain ensures that no single entity has control over the entire network. It mitigates the risk of a single point of failure. This study is based on systematic literature review with Web of Science and Google Scholar database. It investigates key variables for secure and efficient financial transactions in digital banking. The study found 35 articles in order to identify Blockchain-based enablers, as well as AI and machine learning-related enablers, as crucial factors in this domain. The findings not only offer insights into the interrelationships among these variables but also suggest potential hierarchical structures. The study contributes to future researchers in order to explore these relationships further. Additionally, policy implications are discussed to facilitate the integration of Blockchain, AI, and machine learning for enhanced financial transactions in the digital banking landscape.
