Blockchain Empowerment: Revolutionizing IoT Device Security with Ethereum
Abstract
The term "Internet of Things" (IoT) refers to the coordination of a sizable number of recognizable, globally interconnected, and accessible physical items. The Internet of Things was required to safeguard device communication. For its gadgets, security, and authentication are crucial. For data security and authentication, many apps are employed. This paper presented work based on the ethereum blockchain network for registration and data authentication of IoT devices. The data is authenticated by using the public key and the time stamp of the transactions. The Ethereum blockchain, smart contracts, and wallet are all used in this paper. Ethereum wallet serves as the backend and is used to deploy transactions. Through transactions, smart contracts are written and deployed on the Ethereum blockchain. Functionality for registration and authen-tication is provided through smart contracts. Through the web, the user and smart contract can communicate. The environment for developing smart contracts is running on an Ethereum virtual computer.
