Abstract

For the benefit of the environment, the people and the economy, it is important to implement effective waste management. To make waste management more efficient, sustainable and accountable, introduction of blockchain technology to the waste management techniques will be an essential aid. With blockchain technology, it is easier to attain traceability and transparency in a system as it provides a tamper-proof record of the entire transaction. The basic idea of the system will contain a blockchain network and a web application that will be based on a platform like Ethereum.
