Leveraging Blockchain Technology for Secure and Transparent Property Registry Management: Exploring Applications in Logistics Management, with Decentralized Decision-Making for Co-Ownership

Authors:Benyelles Mohammed El AmineSari-Triqui Lamia

Abstract

Conventional property register systems often expe- rience inefficiencies, lack transparency, and are prone to fraud. This study presents an innovative method using blockchain technology to create a secure, transparent, and efficient property register system. The system employs smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain and integrates a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) framework for managing co-ownership. This enables property registration, co-ownership administration, proposal voting, and data retrieval. The contract complies with Ethereum Request for Comments 20 (ERC20) standards, allowing for fractional ownership via tokens. We examine the advan- tages of incorporating blockchain technology, DAO governance, and ERC20 functionality into property registries. Additionally, we explore potential applications in supply chain management, specifically in the logistics sector, to improve transparency and efficiency.
