Enhancing Sustainable Tourism through Blockchain-Based Tokenization

Abstract

This chapter explores the potential of blockchain technology, tokenization, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in promoting sustainable tourism and preserving tourism attractions. From the stakeholder perspective, the chapter examines the benefits of using these technologies in creating new revenue streams in tourism management. It further discusses the challenges and opportunities that come with implementing blockchain, tokenization, and NFTs in the tourism industry, including issues of environmental concerns and how to address them.
