Innovations and Risks in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) for Blockchain-Based Healthcare Systems
Abstract
Block chain based healthcare systems; DeFi is a creative new avenue with significant potential to increase access, security, along with efficiency of healthcare. Along with ensuring safe medical data management, other DAO developments such smart contracts might simplify administrative chores along with reduce expenses. Tokenising health assets with services will provide new financial possibilities, hence improving healthcare access. DeFi used in healthcare has some major hazards as well. Sensitive financial information combined with medical records is susceptible in cyber security under fraud's danger like hacking. Regulatory ambiguity hinders even more efforts to use this strategy on a large scale, therefore increasing degree of these risks. The operational risks created by sophisticated DeFi protocols mainly cause problems in case of businesses without technological expertise. Emphasising its ability to improve risk management, data security, along with operation simplicity, the article explores DeFi deployment in BC based healthcare systems. It stresses integration of strong security methods together with a smart risk management module because it handles the challenges of distributing DeFi and guarantees regulatory compliance along with patient data protection. DeFi has to be successfully included into healthcare systems by means of a balance between these innovations along with corresponding hazards. DeFi advancements in healthcare systems may improve data management along with security since BC technology reduces data breaches, increases transparency, along with hence reduces fraud. Smart contracts streamline insurance claim procedures along with enable customers to control their data. These benefits, however, also come with risks like additional complexity, sensitivity to security issues, along with more energy use.
